Gold had left Professor Elm's lab in a hurry. He seemed like something was wrong. Really wrong. Maybe he and his girlfriend were in a rough patch.

"Hey, Crystal," you ask your best friend. "Do you or Silver know if things are going okay with Gold and his girlfriend?"

"Oh, you didn't know?" She asked. "She broke up with him."

"What? When?" You asked curiously.

"Either yesterday or the day before. I'm shocked you didn't know. He's been moping around."

"No. I've noticed that, just didn't know why," you said. "Kris, you think you can take care of this research by yourself?"

"Yeah, I guess. Gonna go cheer Gold up?" She asked.

"Yeah. I think he'll need it," you said worried.

"Have fun. He'll probably be at the beach. He's always there when he's upset," she said.

"Alright, thank you," You said.

You made your way to the beach on the edge of your home town, New Bark Town. You walked for awhile before you saw Gold. He was holding his lags and looking out at the ocean. You walked over quietly. Gold didn't even notice you.

"Do you want some company, Gold," you ask cautiously.

He looked up. "Hmm, (Name) . . . it's you." He looked back out and said, "Yeah. You can sit."

You sat down next to him. "You alright? Kris just told me about you and your ex-girlfriend. I'm sorry."

"It's alright," he said. "I knew it wouldn't last."

"Why not? She seemed pretty nice," you said even though you were insanely jealous of her. She got to touch Gold and kiss him when ever she wanted. One thing you always wanted to do.

"She was too much of a demanding bitch. But still I did love her," he said sadly. Gold fell in love relatively fast and the girls he dated took advantage of that.

Most people thought that since he dated several girls that he was a man slut or a floozy but you knew better. He was a nice guy that just had trouble finding love. And being the champion of Johto only made it harder. Girls only saw him as a publicity icon that they could latch on to and that sickened you to no end.

"I see," you said. "I'm sorry it didn't work out."

He sighed at relief. "You know (Name) you're always there to cheer me up after these break ups but you do realize it's not your fault right?"

"I know but still. I hate to see girls use you," you said. You hooked your arm around his. And put your head on his shoulder. "It's sad how petty they are."

"Kinda is, isn't it?" he asked.

"You know I worry about you," you said. "You act like it's nothing but it hurts you so much. You know you don't have to hide it."

"I know but I try to. So Silver doesn't pick on me. Get's tiring him calling me a girl all the time."

You got off of him and looked at him and he looked at you. "You know what screw him. I can get Kris to take care of him. You shouldn't hide how you're really feeling."

"So I shouldn't hide how I feel?" he asked.

"No, you shouldn't," you said. "It's bad for you."

He looked back out at the water. "Only you would see though my façade. You always do, (Name)."

"You know it's not that hard to see it." You touched his heart. "You love so fast and end up getting crushed. Everyone thinks you'll be fine and just get some girl to drown your sorrows in but you don't do that. Every time you get dumped or you brake up with a girl you come here or out in the woods."

"You're wrong," he said. "There is one girl I always drown my sorrows in. And her name is (Name). She's always there for me no matter what."

You smiled. "She must be someone special if she's always there for you," you said.

"She is pretty special," he said. "She has no idea how much she is. She even has a guy after her."

"Oh? Who?" you ask curiously.

"Me," he said. He was after you? What did that mean pray tell? "Most of the times like this I can't ever get her out of my head." He turned to you and smiled. "And that's why I always try to have a girlfriend because she is way out of my league."

You tackle him to the ground. You held his wrists down and sat on his stomach. He looked up at with shocked eyes. "You idiot," you said. A tear fell out your eyes and on to his cheek.

"(N-name)."

"You idiot," you said. You looked up and met his eyes. As soon as they met his eyes looked horrified. "I'm not out of your league it's the other way around. I-I hate seeing girls do this to you time and time again."

More teas fell on his face and he was heartbroken because he was the one to make you cry. "Gold, don't do this because of me." You hung your head and closed your eyes.

He smiled faintly. "(Name)." He lifted your head and made you look him in the eyes.

He sat up and he pulled your face in for a kiss. At first you were shocked at this but then melted into it and kissed him back. He was about to pull back but you kept the kiss going. And you laid him back down.

Deeping it as far as you could exploring every inch of his mouth and him to your mouth. Tears now of happiness flowed out your eyes and on to his face. You never wanted this moment to end.

But alas it ended and both pulled back panting. "From now on I never want you to hurt," you said. "I can't bare it."

He let out a small chuckle. "Deal but I want something out of that bargain. You become my new girlfriend. And this time I might not screw up my relationship."

You hugged him. "You won't. Just be yourself. The real Gold not the celebrity Gold. My Gold."

"I never agreed to be yours but since it is you. I guess I'll make an exception," he said. "Now then I will make every guy in Johto jealous by having the best babe in Johto."

You let go of him and smiled. "And I'll have the best boyfriend ever."

"You know this is really romantic and I didn't even mean to do it. I mean the beach, sunset, and secret confessions," he said.

You laughed. "Good job."
