Hilbert/Black X Reader (Request): Boys VS Girls

"Yes!" the boy shouted as he jumped in the air with a grin. "I won again!"

You let out a defeated sigh as you returned your fainted pokemon and walked to him.

You had challenged your best and only rival, Hilbert, before you could take on the gym leader and win your last badge. You wanted to test your strength like you always did everytime you challenged him. He won most of the battles, but you also had a few victories.

You actually knew each other since preschool, but you weren't really friends, just neighbours and classmates. It had been more than a year now that you two had built a strong rivalry. After many encounters with him during your journey, you started having deep feelings for that strong-willed brunet.

As you were about to congratulate him like you usualy do, he started talking again.

"Come on (y/n)! Is that all you got? I'm sick of wining all the time!" He frowned at you. He then let out a sigh. "I guess girls will never beat boys."

You glared at your rival and gritted your teeth. There was no way you were going to let him say such a thing in front of you. You stomped to him.

"Listen carefully, because I'm not going to say it twice." You leaned closer which made him fall and his butt hit the ground. "I may bot be able to beat you at pokemon battling, but you can't say that girls can't beat boys without any proof."

"What are you saying, (irritating nickname)?" Hilbert raised an eyebrow as he got up.

"I'm saying we should have some kind of competition. Like say, we play various games, the winner gains one point, and the one with the most points can admit who's better than the other," you said as you crossed your arms.

A smirk was spread across your rilval's face. "Never though you'd challenge me twice in one day." He laughed. "But who's going to be the referee?"

"I thought Hilda would be perfect for this role. A part of her will be rooting for you because she's your sister but she will also be for me because she's a girl."

"I guess this is fair..." he mumbled.

"Okay," said Hilbert's twin sister. "This competition will have three rounds. The first one who wins two of them is the winner!"

You and Hilbert both smirked at each other as you waited for Hilda.

"The first round will be cooking," she said.

Your smirk grew wider, knowing that you were indeed a good cook, unlike someone.

"What?!" he exclaimed. "But that's a woman's job!" he said disgusted.

You glared at him. "Don't you start-"

You were cut off as Hilda pushed you and Hilbert in the kitchen and she locked the door.

"You have one hour!" she shouted.

As the first round started, you both pushed each other in order to get to the fridge and get the ingredients. He got it first, and took them immeditely before he started doing his dish. He decided to bake chocolate muffins. Time was running out, so you decided to use berries you had picked before you had battled Hilbert and decided to make a berry salad. Not only it was simple to make, but it was a healthy and delicious dish that you made with passion. You remembered during summer, your mother used to always make salads and the berries would be cut and shaped like your favourite pokemon. While you were peacefully cutting the berries, you could hear your rival panicking. You snickered, knowing you will already win the first round. After you finished, you suddenly smelled something burning. Hilbert quickly took the muffins out and put them in a plate.
