Chapter 2- First Class

I had no choice but to move to live with dad. Either that or risk being put into care and I can't put Nathan, or myself through that.

We began packing the day the decision was made, dad being eager to get back to his house. He told me all about his girlfriend Gracie, who I figured out was number thirty-six. I don't think I'll like her, she sounds too shallow, she's a model, the blonde hair, blue eyes, no food kind if model.

After about 1 day of packing, we had got everything in the house boxed and loaded onto a truck. We had few possessions so packing didn't take to long, much to my impatient fathers approval. I hated to leave, my heart wrenched at the thought of leaving the country where mum would always be.

"If you want, we can have your mothers coffin moved to LA," Dad suggested, making a look of disgust break over my face. What?

"Father, do you not understand the concept of resting in peace?" I scowled at him, still horrified by his suggestion, how typical of him. Move my dead mother to a country she has never been to and never wanted to visit. Genius! Congrats dad! A+!

We were greeted to Heathrow Airport by paparazzi snapping away at dad. I scowled at them, hiding my face. I haven't even made it to America yet and I'm already in the public eye, perfect.

We didn't have to wait long in line as dad paid extra for first class, and I will give it to him, the man knows how to live in luxury.

My body tensed up at the glares of those who had to wait in line, jeez, its not my fault my dad doesn't know how to live like a normal person. Our bags were loaded and we boarded the plane.

I was very on edge, it was my first time going on a plane, we've never been able to afford holidays and so this was really out of my comfort zone. Even Nathan's usually composed relaxed face looked more tense than usual.

First class was massive, each seat was almost as big as mums wardrobe, and she had a big wardrobe. I couldn't believe my luck, this was great!

"See living big isn't so bad is it?" Dad clamped a hand onto my shoulder, making me freeze, I still wasn't used to physical contact.

"Mmh," I wriggled out of his grasp and headed toward my seat, holding on to Nathan's hand. Maybe this wont be so bad, if dad has this much money, he will have cooks and cleaners and butlers, right? So if he has them he can hire a carer, and I wont be a Nathan's full time carer. And then I'll be able to do what I want because he wont be there to tell me what to do.

How bad can this be?
