I froze in place as the woman's voice sounded again, calling for him. He still had the nerve to hug me tighter and cuddle into me from behind. My eyes were wide as the woman called again and I started whacking him as hard as I possibly could. I didn't care if I hurt him, if he was as strong as he was he wouldn't be hurt by it.

"Alex!" I hissed frantically. He groaned, finally showing some sign of being alive. He squirmed around and yawned and when he finally opened his eyes, they widened and he jumped out of his bed. His face was bright red with embarrassment. He ran his hand through his hair and looked away slightly.

"Shit Rose.. I'm so sorry I didn't kno-" He was cut off by the woman's shrill voice.

"Alex? Where are you!!" She called. He froze in place but quickly turned around.

"Coming, mom!" He shouted back and then turned back around to me. "Stay here a minute okay?"

After he left his room, I realized something. If I stayed any longer I would have to meet his mom. That would make things even more complicated than it already was. At that thought, I grabbed my things and jumped out the window, barely managing to land on the tree opposite, and climbed down hastily before running home.

Alex POV

_________

"Hey mom," I tried to say casually, clearing my throat awkwardly. She frowned curiously at me.

"Hey honey. Why are your cheeks so red?" She asked after a moment. I felt my checks get even hotter. I could still feel my arms around her while we slept, not that I minded but she probably did. It was the first time anyone ever slept in the same bed with me. I mean sure I slept slept with some of my past girlfriends and one or two one night stands but they never actually stayed in bed with me nor I them.

"Hey Alex! Are you listening to me??" My mom's voice called me back to reality.

"Huh? What?" I asked dumbly as she rolled her eyes at me.

"What do you want for dinner? Or supper since it's too late for dinner. I'm sorry by the way for today. Iwas supposed to come back earlier but you know how it is an-"

"Mom I have a friend over," I blurted out, cutting off her rambling.

"Oh," Surprise filled her face, "Well why didn't you tell me Ryan was coming over?"

"It's not Ryan and it was last minute,"

"Logan then? Or Tom? Or perhaps one of the girls?" She asked expectantly. I squirmed under her gaze.

"No... I just kind of met her.." I trailed off.

"Oh," She said again.

"Do I get to meet her? What's her name?" She asked.

"She's sick mom, I'm taking care of her," I tried to explain and winced as she cooed slightly.

"Well then go take care of your friend while I prepare supper," she winked and pushed me back in my room. I closed the door and sighed dramatically.

"I hope you you didn't hear that," I mumbled embarrassedly as I leaned my forehead against the door. When nothing but silence answered me I turned around.

"Hey did you-" I cut myself off as I stared at the empty room before me. She was gone. But how? That was when I saw my window open. I ran towards it and looked out at my empty lawn. I thought back to my dream this morning and shook my head, walking back to bed. Some coincidence.

Arielle's POV

____________

Stick to the plan, stick to the plan, stick to the plan, I kept chanting in my head. I stealthily crept around my house and towards the pipe beside my window. That way, my dad and Tyler wouldn't notice I was home and I could actually be in peace for a few hours until morning and maybe also come up with a proper excuse that won't lead to my dad fangirling or Tyler fainting in shock. ARIELLE ROSE MOORE IN A FRIEND'S HOME?? NO WAY!!

"WHERE WERE YOU??" My father's voice boomed in front of me. I jumped and held back a scream.

"What the hell dad!" I exclaimed, my eyes wide in shock. I should have seen someone coming. But then again this was my dad, co-founder of the world's greatest secret spy agency and I was sick so I guess I could let that one go.

"What the hell me?! What the hell you!! Where did you go without even telling me or Tyler?!" He shouted back. I winced and looked at my feet, biting my lip. Stick to the plan.

"I was body guarding bloo," I blurted out. I wasn't really lying, I mean I kind of was with him. Just that it was the other way around and he was looking after me. I felt a blush creep onto my cheeks and I was glad it was night so he wouldn't see it.

"She's lying. Well not really but she's not telling us everything yet," Tyler's voice came out of nowhere, making me jump again. 'damn spy families who can just appear out of thin air and know if you're lying or not'. I groaned.

"Okay fine you got me. Hebroughtmetohishousebecauseiwassickandhefedmeandletmerestandsleepthere," I said in one breath.

"Arielle you know how I get when you speak too fast," my father said looking at me exasperatedly.

"I was at his house because I was sick and he brought me there," I slowly said and watched their reactions with dread. Slowly, they're faces turned from curiosity to shock to excitement to real fangirl.

"HE LOOKED AFTER YOU?? AWWWWWE!!" As per usual, my father who was super angry and serious just seconds before, went from that to fangirling and just utter girl. I groaned but then I found a way out.

"Hey I'm still sick you know? So can you please let me go to bed early?" I faked a cough and gave my dad the best puppy dog face I could create.

"Oh of course dearie have a good nighttt-and may you have sweet dreams..OF HIM!!!" I sighed as my father started to make his way back to the house. Tyler shook his head at me disbelievingly.

"What?" I asked but he just shook his head and patted mine.

"Just can't believe my little cousin is growing up and making friends," He smirked walking away.

"Hey!" I screamed after him defensively.

The day after I wasn't surprised to feel not so sick anymore. After all, I always healed naturally within a day or two for normal colds.

I went to Alex's house as per usual to check on him and I hid in my usual bush but after a while he didn't come out and so I waited another hour and saw the woman I presumed was his mother coming out and going for work probably. When I checked the time then it was nine o'clock. That was already more than an hour late for school. Then I realized what was probably causing him to skip school.

I drove back home to cook some soup, and since he already knew I used his window to escape and go home, I figured I could just do it again. So when I got back to his house with the soup Tyler helped me cook due to my horrid cooking skills, I started climbing the tree that led to his window.

"And she's back," Alex croaked sarcastically.

"You didn't come to school today so.." I trailed off, shrugging and opening my bag pack to get his soup out.

"Am I gonna have to feed you too?"
