"Okay, okay. Beth, truth or dare?" Logan said.
"Truth," she drawled, drawing things on the sand. Everyone groaned and she rolled her eyes.
"Do you like anyone yet?"
"Nope," Everyone groaned again.
"Damn it Ems wasted question!" Ryan whined and Emilie just shrugged.
The moment they had started laughing at me I knew I was going to like these people. They were fun, carefree and most of all, not afraid of me. Plus, all of them had unique personalities.
"Alright Beth call someone,"
"Alex. Truth or dare?"
"I double dare...Aria!" He exclaimed. I glared at him.
"Okay then you guys, go skinny dipping in the water,"
"You've been waiting for an opportunity haven't you?" I narrowed my eyes at Ryan. He just smirked at me.
"If you don't want to, you can always forfeit," He mocked.
I looked at Alex, glaring still. He opened his mouth to say something but I shook my head at him. I didn't want to be a party pooper at my first party.
"At least let us wear our underwear? please?" Alex asked.
"Okay, I guess. It is kinda cold," Tom said and I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah, kinda," I scoffed, getting up and walking to the seaside.
"You go to that side and I go to this side okay? Turn around when you're changing," I said.
"Oh come on Aria, it's our underwear its fine," He rolled his eyes and I rolled mine back.
"Whatever," I mumbled. I slowly and reluctantly took my hoodie off and waited for him to strip. My breathing got heavier with anxiousness and so did his.
"Okay, are we really doing this?" Alex hesitated. His eyes were uncertain.
"Yes," I breathed determinedly , trying not to seem too nervous. I took my shorts off.
"Yes because of your stubbornness!" He exclaimed taking off his shirt.
"Stubbornness..? is that a word?" I asked taking my shirt off.
"Yes it is!" He hissed and took his Bermudas off.
"They're coming soon. I suggest you get in the water before the guys see you like this," His expression was unreadable in the moonlight.
"Don't you mean we get in the water? and before they see us?" I rolled my eyes but he only looked towards the figures that were nearing us and didn't answer me. Suddenly I felt myself getting swooped up and carried over his shoulder.
"AAAAHHHH ALEX!! PUT ME DOWN NOW!!" I screamed and hit his back as he walked into the water.
I shrieked as he flipped my body back so I faced him and I had to wrap my legs around his waist for support. The water was at his shoulders and I wrapped my arms around his neck so I could cling onto him.
"Did you not realize the difference in our heights?!" I glared at him. If the water was at his shoulders, I wouldn't be able to reach the sea bed while standing. He was at least a head taller than I was.
"I am aware of that," he smirked. I let go but he pushed me back to him, smirking.
"Alex, let go!" I screamed.
"Never Arielle!" he laughed. I frowned at him.
"Hey can I call you Elle?" He said randomly.
"Never," I glared again.
"Okay then Elle!" He said, but my breath hitched in my throat. I'm reminded of my mother.
"Elle!" I could hear her call for me.
"Don't call me Elle," I said quietly looking down. She called me that. I didn't want to be reminded of her. Every time I am, I'm vulnerable. I don't like being vulnerable.
"Rose," He whispered, tilting my head up to face him. His eyes searched mine for any emotions. But somehow it was like he already knew I wasn't joking or angry.
"I-" Alex started, his blue eyes soft.
"GUYS!!!" A loud cheery voice pulled us back to reality and I immediately kicked him away from me and waded in the water. Emilie bounded over to us but stopped at where it wasn't so deep.
"What are you doing here?" Alex called, sounding a little irritated. She laughed.
"You two looked like you were having fun so I decided to come and join! Come over here!" She called and I swam over immediately. Everyone ended up being in the water eventually and we had more fun there than playing truth or dare.

After wiping off with some towels from Logan who had, and I quote, "seen this coming", we changed quickly and got back to the bonfire. It was cold and even though I was wearing a hoodie, I was still shivering.
"Should have worn your jeans," Alex scolded lightly giving me his hoodie. I raised an eyebrow at him.
"I'm already wearing a hoodie I can't wear another one and it's your fault you're the one who made me wear these shorts," I said defensively. He frowned and walked away. I shrugged to myself scooted closer to the bonfire to warm myself up. But after a while I sighed and got up to look for him. I felt bad. He was only being a caring friend I suppose.
While I was walking I couldn't help but notice the woods around me was getting thicker. Where was he?
"ALEX!!! ALEX!!" I called slightly worried.
"ALEX! WHERE ARE YOU!?" I shouted again after a few minutes. Where was he?? I took out my phone to call him but there wasn't any reception. I had no idea where I was.
"Shit!" I muttered. If anything were to have happened to him, it'd be because of me. Finally, I saw what appeared to be light and a clearing. I ran for it.
"GAAAAH!" I screamed as well as the other...person? We both fell backwards. I swiftly got up and pressed my foot on his neck to stop the circulation of air through the subject's body. Then it hit me.
"Alex?" I asked. The person groaned.
"Yeah, get your foot off me," He groaned again. I immediately stepped off him and pulled him up.
"Sorry," I said, sounding more relieved than sorry.
"It's okay. Here," He said handing me a piece of clothing. It was my jeans.
