Karamel: One More Time

Kara-

After seeing everyone again I couldn't stop smiling. I didn't realize how much I missed everybody. Winn and I had a long conversation about the outers pace wonders of Starlord, legendary outlaw. He absolutely fanboyed. He asked me all about him and his team, so I told him.

He also told me about National City in the last six months. I really missed him. I loved Winn. Like a brother. Apparently the city had more crime from robbers and criminal than any other time but that was to be expected. I left. But they weren't any other alien attacks.

I said hello to everybody after around two hours. I was saving catching up with Monel for later. I was scared to catch up with him. What if he had found someone else or lost interest.

"Are you staying?" Alex said to me as we walked to the balcony.

"Depeands."

"On what?" She asked. I looked back at Monel as we leaned on the railing.

"Oh. Well just remember Kara, he's not the only one who loves you." She gave me a hug then made her way back to the screens where Winn was.

I continued to look at the city. All the cars and people scurrying to get to where they need to be. I smile as I think about all the moments I saved people. How I gave them a second chance at life.

I could hear every little sound in the city. The people, the cars, the alley cats, and even the mice they were hinting. Apparently I didn't hear everything. Monel came up to the balcony next to me.

"Feels good to be back. After half a year of not being here." I said. We turned to face each other. He smiled before he spoke.

"It does. I missed this place so much. I missed the people, the rush of saving them, but most of all I missed seeing you."

"Yeah, I missed you too. Anything exciting happen in space?"

"Not really. Met some villain named Thanos. He was tough to defeat."

"Thanos?"

"Yeah, you heard of him?"

"A little, yeah. Peter, that's what drove him and his ex Gamora apart. He brainwashed her."

"Did you love Peter?"

"Love wasn't the word for it. I've only ever loved once. He was great. We were like Romeo and Juliet. Exempt we didn't run away or die. We were never meant to be together but we just loved each other."

"Sounds romantic."

"He was. I wish he would just come back already."

"I can help you find him."

"Uh, no its okay really." I adjust my glasses and look back out onto the city. "The only thing that could bring him back is time."

"I hope he loves you."

"I can't tell anymore. We haven't really been around each other in what seems like so long."

"Nobody can stop loving you Kara. And if they can then they never loved you in the first place."

"Thank you Monel." I chuckle a little.

"So, um. Are you going to try superheroing again?"

"Maybe. I don't know. Not alone anyways."

"What? You know you have James and I."

"Are you staying, for good?"

"Why wouldn't I? Where else would I go?"

"I don't know. There's a lot I feel like I don't know about you anymore. I mean you were gone for six months. A lot of things can happen in that amount of time."

"Yeah, but nothing did. Uh, so you're okay with me staying with you?"

"Monel, I am more than okay with it. You are my best friend. My daxamite bff. Omg, I never thought those words would come out of my mouth. Blahhh!"

I cringe up when I think of it. Did I just friend zone Monel? No. I don't think. I hope he doesn't think that.

"Maybe we should go back to my loft. I need to sleep. I can actually do that now considering that I have peace of mind knowing that you're okay." I let out a deep sigh.

"Sounds good."

"Okay. Let me say goodbye. I walk over to Alex.

"Hey Alex, I'm going back to my loft. I will be in at around nine tomorrow."

"As Supergirl or Kara Danvers?"

"I don't know yet." I smile at her and give her a hug.

"Where is Monel going to stay?"

"At my place. On the couch." She gives me an unconvincing smile. "What?! He is!"

"Mmhmm. Okay Kara."

"Oh my Rao, Alex. Nothing is going to happen. We- you know what, you're believe me anyways."

"Nope, go have fun Kara." She gave me a hug then turned around so I did the same. When I got to the balcony, Monel was waiting for me.

"You ready?" He said.

"Yep. Let's go home. I mean, let's go."

"Okay." He smiles at me.

We fly off into the night together. I could see him looking at me. I looked at him occasionally.  Before I knew it he tackled me.

"Monel what are-" Then it hit me. All the pain and sorrow just washed away as I feel his lips touch mine. We crash onto my bed making it break. "Great." I say laughing. I push him off.

"Monel, I just don't know about this. I can't. Not now. I- I just need sleep." I get out from underneath him and walk out of the room.

"Is everything okay Kara?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. Why?"

"Is thought you loved me."

"Monel! It's been six months. I don't know what you did in that time. You could have had a different girl over every night. Who knows!"

"Kara! I never even came close to that!"

"Oh yeah! Because you dirty Daxamite  are just a bunch of obnoxious, lying, backstabbing, drunkies!" I could feel my face heat up. My eyes were aimed directly at him.

"Kara, listen to me. You're under the influence of Red Kryptonite."

"No Monel! I've just never been completely honest with you. All of the guys I have been with have been better than you!"

"Kara-"

"James, Adam, Winn and I got drunk and had a one night stand that only I remember. Oh and you're love making, SUCKS!"

"Kara, please we need to get you to the D.E.O."

I fall to the floor as he takes my necklace off. I look at it. It was glowing a red color. I could see Monel crying. What just happened?
