"Boyfriend?" He looks down at his shoes. "That's great actually. I'm happy for you Kara."

"Wait, hold on. Are we just going to ignore the fact that you are alive and on Earth?!" When I say that he starts to laugh.

"I'm fine Kara. I came back about six weeks ago. Winn and Alex tried to call you to tell you but you wouldn't pick up."

"Oh, yeah. I don't really associate with them anymore, but we can talk about this later. I have to go."

"That would be nice." When Monel says that I could feel Peter grab my hand harder. It didn't hurt because well, you know. But I could tell when I needed to stop talking.

The elevator doors opened.

"Bye Kara."

"Bye Monel." I gave a small smile as we walk out together. We make it back to the car in no time. When we get in, Peter starts to drive.

"Why are you so quite?" I say.

"I just have nothing to say." He smiled at me and pulled out of the parking lot.

"I can tell something is bothering you. Is it because Monel is back?"

"No, it's fine. I'm not trying to intervene."

"With what?"

"You two."

"Peter, I am not leaving any time soon. Yes it is a shock that he's back but I can't do anything about it. I don't want to be around them anymore."

"Kara! He's the reason you don't want to be around them. He's back so sooner or later you are going to go back."

"You're probably right. But it's not like I'm in love with him anymore. I want to be with you. I promise. If anything we are just friends."

"Okay. I'm sorry."

"Hey, don't apologize. I get it. If Gamora came around I would feel uneasy too."

"I've been thinking about going back. To the Guardians."

"Oh." I didn't want to freak out. I knew what he had felt. I know exactly how he feels. "Do what your heart tells you too."

"So you'd be okay with it?"

"I mean I would be sad but not mad. Maybe that would be best for both of us."

"Did we just break up?"

"Did we?"

"I think so."

"If that wasn't a mutual dumping, I don't know what is." We laugh.

"If was fun Kara but both of us are ready to go back."

"I agree. So I'll just get my stuff and you can have the house."

"Sounds good."

"That was the first breakup I haven't cried through."

"Me too. We should still be friends though."

"That would be fantastic."

When we got to the house, I went into my closet and grabbed the suitcase. I didn't have much stuff there anymore. And I had kept paying for my loft so I still had a house.

I was excited to go back. It's like this burden had been lifted off of me. Maybe it was seeing that Monel was alive and well. I was going to see Alex, Winn, James, and so on, again!

I used superspeed to get packed. When I was done I zipped it up and exhaled.

"You know, you'd think I'd be used to that." Peter said as he fixed his hair.

"I got used to it after fifteen years so it's okay."

"Well this is goodbye?"

"No, let's just say... goodbye for now."

"Okay." He held his arms out for a hug.

"Go find your team and never leave their sides again."

"You neither Kara. Obviously neither of us can function without them.

"Guess not. I have to go but, uh, you are always welcome at my home. You know where to find me."

"Yeah. I do. Bye Kara."

"See ya later Peter." We smiled before I flew off over the trees. We lived in the forest. Where nobody could find us.

I could see the city in he diatance. After a few second I could see Catco. I was so happy again. I flew to my loft. When I landed I saw Monel sitting on my couch.

"Monel?"

"Oh my Rao Kara, I'm so sorry, I just needed a place to stay while I got back-"

"Monel, it's fine really." I laughed as I set my suitcase on the floor.

"Are you sure, I can totally sleep at the D.E.O."

"Monel! It's okay. You can just sleep on the couch. I promise it's okay."

"Thank you Kara."

"No problem." I sat down on the couch next to him.

"I am do happy to see you after drifting in space for months."

"I am happy to see you too."

"What happened to Peter?"

"Oh we broke up. He wanted to go back to his superheroing team and so did I. We're still friends though."

"Okay. So you're not seeing anyone?"

"No, meet any hot girls in space?"

"Kara, I didn't even look at girls after you." I could see him looking back and forth between my lips and eyes.

"I think Peter was a distraction. Amd a damn good one."

"From what?"

"You know what. After you left I couldn't eat, sleep, move. So I left. I stopped superheroing. Life stopped."

"Mine too." His hand reached over to grab mine. I look down. I could kiss him right now. Not yet. Something was holding me back.

"We should go see the team. Especially Alex. I miss everybody."

"I bet you do. Come on let's go."

We both flew to the D.E.O. We landed on the terris.

"Since when can you fly?"

"I have this ring. And a suit."

"Look st you mister fancy- ow!" Alex had ran to hug me. It hurt a little actually. She didn't let go until about a minute or two.

"Kara! You're back!" I gave her a smile before looking back at Monel. I shuffled to him and grabbed his hand in mine.

I was just thinking. Supergirl and Starlord would be Superstar or Super lord or something like that but SUPERSTAR!
