Shoutout to Jungkook

Chapter 17

Maddie moves over to Jungkook and holds his hand. Even though my date is Taehyung, I feel a tiny bit sad.

"Let's go." Maddie says, smiling and leads us to a table.

"Will you guys be fine if we take on separate tables?" She suddenly asks, and I nod lightly.

She drags Jungkook to another table diagonal to ours and settles down.

"Shall we?" Taehyung looks at me and smiles.

He pulls my chair for me as I sit down and takes his seat in front of me.

"I'm a huge fan!" I say, as soon as we sit down.

"Really?" He laughs a bit and looks at me.

"What?" I ask, when he still keeps staring.

"You look really beautiful tonight. That red dress... Gorgeous." He says and I explode inside. My bias is complimenting me.

I keep calm on the outside and I know I'm blushing at this point. I give him a small smile and keep from laughing like a hyena.

"Thank you." I finally manage to say.

The waiter comes soon enough to take our order and I tell Taehyung to give my order too.

I slightly take a peek at Jungkook's table and find him looking at me. I quickly divert my eyes back to Taehyung, as he gives in our order.

"So, tell me about yourself HwaYoung." Taehyung says and elbows on the table, resting his face on his palms.

"Umm okay. I'm a student and I study international business. I'm 20, and I love your music. I also like to procrastinate." I say and a conversation strikes up.

Taehyung is a very social person. He keeps me busy with his talks throughout and doesn't leave me out. Our food arrives and he talks through the dinner too. I find he has a very active social circle and even tells me about a time he made a friend in a men's room.

We laugh a lot as we eat. I'm glad I got to spend tonight with him. I occasionally glance over at the other table, but see Jungkook either looking at us or eating silently.

I wonder what's wrong with him. He's usually very pumped up. Taehyung then tells me about his group members. Some basic info here and there and some incidents that make us laugh.

We finally finish our dinner.

"I'm so full." I say, and lean back in my chair.

"Yeah. The food was great here." He says, and imitates me.

I smile at him and he smiles back.

"I really enjoyed tonight. Thanks for this." I say, extending my hand.

"Yeah, me too. I'm not sure if other people enjoyed but you're fun to hangout with." He says, shaking my hand.

Taehyung turns to look at Jungkook and signals that it's time we should all leave.

All of us stand up and walk out after Taehyung and Jungkook pay. We move towards our parked cars.

"I loved tonight." Taehyung says, as we reach our cars and stand in front of them.

"Yeah. The dinner was lovely." Maddie says and nods.

"Me three. I enjoyed it very much." I say.

Jungkook doesn't say anything and just nods.

"So, we should get going." Maddie says.

"Yes, that's right. Jungkook will drop HwaYoung and I'll drop you. How's that sound?" Taehyung says, looking at Maddie.

"Oh, I can drop her. I do have my car." I say but Taehyung interrupts me.

"HwaYoung, it's not safe for girls to be driving alone at this hour. We'll be dropping you. That should be fine, right?" He looks at us and everyone nods.

Jungkook quickly takes my car keys from my hand and goes to the passenger side. Does he wanna drive or sit? I walk to the passenger's side and watch him hold the door.

I quickly walk to him and sit in.
