The next day, I wake up to the sounds of utensils falling to the ground. I rush downstairs to the kitchen to find Maddie trying to cook something.
"And good morning to you too." I say, and she turns around to see me.
"Oh, you're up! I'm preparing breakfast." She says and returns to whatever she was doing before.
We ended up with some scrambled eggs that didn't look like eggs at all and toast that was a little burnt. Is it okay to mention now that Maddie isn't a great cook? Yeah.
"Well, thanks for breakfast!" I say, as I gobble up the stuff on my plate.
"Is it edible?" She asks, with a look of worry. I give her a thumbs up. She smiles and starts to eat too.
"This is not the best thing out there but should work." She says and I nod.
"What's with the breakfast thing though? When did you wake up?" I ask her.
"I got up early and didn't know what to do. So, I searched up the internet and got the recipe to this." She says, a bit proud. I laugh and finish my breakfast.
"You were acting so weird yesterday." I say, and she looks at me with worry again.
"Did I act too weird in front of him?" She asks, her brows going wild.
"Not really. Just a bit starstruck." I say, hiding the fact that she was going crazy.
We both finish up and get ready for classes.
