Regret floods my my mind as I make my way further from the house. Deciding to ignore the feeling I continue walking unsure of where I'm going. "I guess I'll go wherever my feet take me." I giggle to myself at the thought of my feet popping off and guiding me around town. I don't really no why I'm not taking this situation as seriously as I should but it feels nice to not be worried about all my problems for once. I continue to giggle and smile to myself as I walk down the street probably looking like a mad man. My giggles come to a halt as I spot a tiny record store across the street. I make my way across the road without getting squished coming to a stop at the front of the shop.

A jingle sounds throughout the room as I enter the small record store. I scan the isles of the record store picking up an album every now and then. I make my way towards the back of the store spotting a listening section. I come closer deal full of headphones spotting a pair that already had a record hooked up to it.  I pick up the headphones placing them on my head. Sound fills my ears as I click the play button on the stand. It's a more mellow summertime song that pours out of the headphones. I actually really like the song it making my happy mood return in its purest form. I start to sway around dancing and laughing to myself completely unaware of the pair of eyes watching me. I jump as someone taps my shoulder completely stopping my little jam fest.

I place the headphones back on the stand with an embarrassed smile on my face. "I'm so sorry... that's a really good song though." I laugh more to myself finally turning around I'm met with a handsome face adorned with a smile also. "No it's okay you're fine." He says whilst pointing to the record. "You like that? It's actually my newest song I've written." He says fixing his hair. " Yeah actually, it's really good." I say all of a sudden feeling very awkward in this situation luckily the bell on the door sounds diverting his attention towards the door.

I slip out of the store with out him noticing and make my way down the street to a book store nearby. I enter the bookstore the smell of coffee and new books wafting around me. I spot a place to sit in the back corner making my way over. I put my bag onto the back of the chair grabbing a random book lying around. "The princess and the frog." It's a children's book but it'll keep my attention nonetheless.

A couple of hours pass and I'm so absorbed with reading random books that I don't notice how late it really is. I stop reading for a second searching for my phone In my bag only to realize I've left it at that dreaded house.

I'm in the process of zipping up my bag preparing to leave when the seat in front of me is pulled out and a bagel is set in front of me. I look up to see the guy from the record store looking back at me with a small smile on his face. "Is this seat taken?" I shake my head closing the book in front of me. "I turned around earlier to ask you what your name was but you were gone." He chuckles nudging the bagel closer to me. "Most people don't like coffee so I thought I'd buy you a bagel." My stomach grumbles notifying me that I haven't eaten since this morning. "Thank you, but you don't have to." I try to push the bagel back towards him but he stops me before I can. "Pretty girls need to eat." I smile shyly at the comment but accept the bagel picking it up and munching on it. "I have yet to discover your name."

I look up almost completely forgetting he was here to busy scarfing down the bagel. I put  the bagel down dusting the crumbs off my hands. "Echo... My names Echo. What about you?" I say looking up from my hands I find his eyes already trained on me making me feel awkward. "You got a little bit o-" he starts before leaning over the table to wipe the crumbs from the corner of my mouth. His actions make me nervous and as soon as he's finished I immediately shoot up from where I'm sitting grabbing my bag. "Um... I've got to go!" But before I make it to the door I hear him shout his name from the other side of the book store receiving glares from others and a small laugh from me . Dean I think to myself as the door to the bookstore closes behind me. "Cute..." I mutter before focusing on retracing my steps back to the house I thought I'd never have to see again.
