I believe that things happen for a reason people come and go from your life leaving a mark whether it be a meek meaningless nothing or a large prominent gash in your being. It's been 3 weeks... 3 long weeks since I've seen or heard from anyone.

/3 weeks before/

My legs give out dragging me to the ground as I sob. I sit in the parking space for a few minutes trying to regain my composure and even out my breathing only causing me to sob more until a pair of heels come into my blurry vision causing me to look up.

"Stand up." I look up at the woman her black hair shining as she looks down at me. I shake my head before looking back at the ground. The woman huffs in annoyance before dragging me up. She leads me towards a bench placed against the side of the restaurant passing me a tissue she just sits with me for a few minutes before speaking up.

"I saw what happened..." I look up at her eyebrows knitted in confusion as I stare at her wondering why in the world she would wanna talk to me. "Were you staying with either of them?" She questions. I nod my head confused at why she was asking me these questions. "I'm Hyuna." She says sticking her hand out for a handshake. I reach out and shake her hand my head clogged with too many things to process where I've seen that name before. "If you don't wanna go back I have a place you can stay?" She says standing up and dusting off the bottom of her dress. "You know what your coming with me anyways you're in no shape to be by yourself." She grabs my hand pulling me off the bench and towards her expensive looking car.

/present day/

"Hyuna! We're out of cereal!" I yell throughout the penthouse grabbing a bowl and pouring the remaining bit of cereal into a bowl before tossing the box in the trash. She comes rushing into the living room luggage in hand. "Why do you eat so much cereal?" She asks as I shrug taking a seat at the table. "Where ya going?" I question glancing at her navy suitcase. "My small tour starts today did you forget?" She asks while putting on her jacket. I shrug letting out a small maybe before she comes up to hug me and wish a goodbye walking back towards the door. "Don't! I repeat Don't! Invite anyone over I mean it Echo." "Who am I gonna invite over?" I question feeling my loneliness rise since Hyuna has been the only person I've talked to for 3 weeks, after I decided to take my classes online I've basically been void of human contact. Since my 18th birthday 2 weeks ago the foster care center hasn't contacted me and the boys call but I refuse to answer. The door closes and I am snapped out of my thoughts as the silence swirls around the large penthouse.
