THEN

"So when exactly is this competition?" I asked laying down exhausted on the bean bag. We had just finished our 3rd day of practice.

"September 15th" he breathed.

Oh

"That's on my birthday!" I said excitedly, gosh, on my birthday, I would be dancing, on a stage, infront of who knows how many people with Hwang Hyunjin.
I'm gonna let that fact sink into me.

Holy Shit

"That's nice!" he said, a wide smile spreading his face.
"What kind of birthday present do you want?"

This question caught me off guard and I blushed a bit before answering, "I don't really expect anything"

He got up from his rest place on the floor and approached me and held out a hand.

"There's got to be something"

I looked at his hand very unsure of what to do, I looked into his eyes, his pretty black sparkling eyes and i melted again, so I took his hand and got up, it felt like he had something in mind.

"I swear there's nothing"

We both were stood facing each other now, our right hands still entangled, he used his left hand to brush the hair falling on my face, I flinched at the action, my heart thudding at a rate which is unhealthy normally.

"What about..." he paused to cup my face lightly, his touch was feather-like, I let out a shaky breath and looked up into his eyes again, I wanted to stay forever like this and probably do more than this

"wh-what about?" I asked gulping.

"i give you an early present"

"What?" I asked, only to be cut off with soft lips pressing against mine, my free hand flew out to hold it against the back of his neck. The kiss was chaste and short, no tongue involved, but it felt like I had just witnessed heaven, his taste of coffee mixed with the mint of mine.

"That was-" I started but my knees bucked from the overwhelming sensation, he caught and pulled me in by my waist, our chests colliding, I widened my eyes at the proximity, "let's just go" he whispered right next to my ear and kissed the tip of my ear, which made the hair on my neck stand as I bit my bottom lip.

He then grabbed my hand and let me take my bag, he took his own too, we walked out of the dance studio in silence, it was late and it was starting to darken, we had stayed back for practicing, so there was really no one in the corridor.

I watched the back of his head, trying to think and make sense of everything that happened in the past few minutes. But I really couldn't wrap my head around it.

Lee Felix making out with Hwang Hyunjin? Hah, impossible.
So I pinch myself and it hurts, so this isn't a dream?

I realized we were going to the same Chinese restaurant we went on the first day and we took the same seats, the painting was 'The Last Supper' by the way.

We sat opposite to each other and I was unable to take my eyes off of him. It was close to impossible, it still looked, felt and sounded like a dream.

He chuckled, "Felix to Earth?"

And that was the first time I had taken my eyes off him and looked at something else.
Our hands were few inches apart on the table, he looked down at it too and it's like we planned it as we both brought our hands forward and entangled it.

I turned a dark shade of red and his cheeks were dusted with redness too, he held a wide smile now, I couldn't help but smile back as widely too.

"So, uh what does this mean?" I managed to stutter out, surprised I wasn't being a nervous wreck.

"It means" he said, bringing our hands top and drawing circles on the back of my hand, "I like you Felix" he added still looking at our intertwined hands.

I looked at our hands too, they fit so well together, my hand was smaller than his and it's like puzzle pieces finding their way back to each other after a long time.

"I think I like you too Hyunjin"
