Today was the day; I was going to completely ruin this wedding. I was woken up early by Sawyer shaking me awake. Besides Lukas, he was the brother I was closest to. We talked about once a week. I sat up in bed, blinking my eyes open.
"Today's the day," Sawyer said, flopping beside me. "My brother is going to marry a raging bitch."
"Not if I can help it," I told him. He shot up with his eyebrows raised. "I've found out some very incriminating evidence on this woman, some that will most likely jail her for a long while. Not to mention break up she and Bradly."
"Ooo, spill," Sawyer said, crossing his legs. "I wanna hear this."
"Absolutely not," I teased. "I can't afford for this to get out. I just need you to back me when I completely ruin everything, okay?" He nodded excitedly, his eyes gleaming with mischief and delight.
"Also, mum wants you to help in the kitchen," Sawyer said. "That's why I was sent up here to get you." I sighed and stretched out my arms.
"Okay, tell her I'll be down in a minute." I stood up and hugged him before he left the room. Lukas was still soundly asleep in bed. I just left him and went to change. I pulled on a white tee-shirt and jeans and headed down to the kitchen.
I walked inside to the kitchen and saw Emelia ordering a few chefs around. I grabbed an apron and hurried over to her. She looked frazzled out of her mind, and it was only 5:30 in the morning.
"Lourdes, perfect. Today's the day! I need you to help out with the marinade if you wouldn't mind. The recipe is over on the counter." I nodded and went to get to work. Emelia went to order a few other people about in another room. I spent the next couple of hours making mass amounts of marinade for a few dishes.
I finished all I needed to and helped the chefs out with whatever else they needed. They praised the way I handled myself in the kitchen but sent me off to prepare because I would be in attendance.
I walked down the hall and checked in on Louis. He was practicing a few dance moves.
"Lourdes, wanna help me learn a slow-dance?" He asked, running over and pulling me by the arm. I shrugged.
"Why not?" I smiled. He grinned and pressed play on his iPod. He scurried over, and I showed him how to position his hands.
He was nearly a foot shorter than me, but we made do. I taught him the average ballroom slow-dance, as well as a waltz. He caught on quite quickly. I gave him a few tips and tricks and praised his abilities. He beamed once we were finished.
"Wanna dance with me at the wedding?" He asked. I nodded with a laugh.
"Of course, I will," I promised. "Save me a few, okay?" He grinned, and I went to go check on Sawyer.
He and Toby were getting in their suits. I smiled at the pair. They were adorable together. However, both of their ties were slightly lopsided. I went to fix them for them and straightened out their lapels.
"You two look fantastic," I complimented. They grinned, sharing a peck.
I stopped by Earnest's room. He was pacing about, clearly nervous. I went over and stood in his path. He stopped short and looked at me. I straightened out his suit.
"You doing alright?" I asked, concerned.
"Just nervous. There's gonna be a lot of people here. I'm not exactly a people person." He scuffed his shoe on the ground.
