"How did you manage to escape Sams grip?" Paul asks me

"How did you manage to escape Sams grip?" Paul asks me. Sam and the rest of the cult had left about twenty minutes ago, leaving me and Paul to argue over the last slice of cheese pizza. Which I obviously got.
"He just understands I don't want to be tied down to a pack." Paul nods and chugs a glass of water. "How'd you get roped into the cult?"
"I didn't have anywhere to turn, I was afraid because I didn't know what was going on. I had just randomly shifted into a wolf. I asked my dad about it and he said Sam would help me. And he was right, I was the first to join. Then Jared, then Embry. We're waiting on Quil and Jake to join."
"Like Jacob Black?" Paul nods. "I haven't seen him since we were little."
By now the sun had went down and the stars were out. I had a sudden urge to go out on a run.
"Hey, I'm gonna go for a run." Paul nods and he heads up to his bedroom.
I walk outside and into the forest. My feet carry themselves to a small clearing. I strip of my clothes, tying my bra and jeans to my legs. I close my eyes, and imagine myself as my wolf. My dark brown fur, golden eyes, claws, and razor sharp teeth. Soon enough my bones break, and rearrange. My paws take off and I'm dodging trees, roots, and everything you could think of. The sound of birds chirping and mountain lions roaring fills my ears as I run.
Eventually I slow down to a stop and lay down on my back, leaving my stomach exposed. I bathe in the moonlight for a few minutes before the sound of screaming has me up on all fours, and dashing farther into the woods. I stop when I see a girl laying in the middle of the forest. Leaves had started to cover her. I quickly shift back, and shrug my clothes back on. I brush the leaves off of her, and check for a pulse. Shallow, but there. I pick the girl up in my arms and start to walk in the direction of Forks. Her brown hair reeks of vampire, and I assume she's friends with some. She doesn't smell bad enough to be one, but it's still there. I eventually walk out of the woods and into a small backyard. Cop cars are lined up the street, and plenty of cars. I recognize Billy Blacks truck, and Billy sitting in his wheelchair. Someone points towards me, and suddenly a cop is running towards me.
"She's alright." I tell the cop as he takes her out of my arms. "I found her just lying in the woods." He nods gratefully, before rushing the small girl into the house. Billy Black wheels himself over to me, and Harry Clearwater nods my way in acknowledgment.
"I heard you were back in town." He grabs my hand in his own and squeezes it. "How are you?" He asks me.
"Well I just found a girl almost dead in the woods, so I'm not sure." He nods and looks behind him, motioning for someone to come over.
"Artemis, Jacob. Jacob, Artemis." I look at the boy with long hair and suddenly the world stops spinning. A vision of myself and him running on the beach, fills my head. Him joining Sams pack, our wolves running side by side, and plenty of other scenarios run through my head. I stumble back and step on a twig. Billy can tell what just happened and quickly excuses himself and his son.
"Well I should be going. Please come by soon." He wheels himself off towards his truck and his son helps him. I take back off into the woods, running the whole way home.

"You saved Bella Swan?" Pauls voice wakes me out of my slumber.
"What?" My voice comes out groggy, and I turn over. "Go away Paul." Suddenly the comforter is ripped off me and my body is exposed.
"Holy shit Artemis!" The blanket is suddenly put back on me. "Why don't you sleep with clothes on?!"
"Because I don't like clothes. Can we just talk later?" Paul shakes his head and rummages through my drawers. Clothes are thrown at my face.
"Put these on, and let's talk." Paul turns around and I groan. I quickly slip into the leggings and cut off t-shirt.
"What is there to talk about?" I ask him.
"You shouldn't have saved Bella." Paul huffs.
"You're telling me to go against our beliefs and let a human die?" I hiss.
"She wouldn't have died!"
"If I didn't find her, a bear would've. What's it matter anyways?"
"She runs with vampires." Paul tells me.
"You can't run with vampires." I point out. Paul groans and falls onto my bed.
"Why is your bed comfier then mine?" Paul grunts. I quickly run out of the room and up to the kitchen.
"Hey, I'm making breakfast before I go to work." Jesse stands in front of the stove, wearing an apron.
"You look amazing Jesse." I coo. He turns around to face me. His apron is covered in flour, and eggs. His hair is ruffled, most likely from him tugging at his hair in frustration.
"Shut up, I'm making you breakfast." He points the spatula at me. I grab a glass of milk from the fridge. I turn towards Jesse.
"You do realize you can't cook?" I ask him.
"You do realize you can't cook." Jesse mocks me. I stick my tongue out at him and sit down at the table. "Billy called me. Says he wants to have you over for dinner, and so does Chief Swan. How'd you get everyone to like you in a day?"
"I might have saved the Chiefs daughter last night, and Billy's son might be my imprint." I say sheepishly.
"Really?" I nod my head.
"Dad, why does Artemis have a better bed than me?" Jesse quickly turns around to avoid the question, and starts whistling very loudly.
