Billy Black would not stop calling the house phone. Jesse had given him my cell number, just so he would stop raising the phone bill. I had to block Billy's number because of how much he called. He wanted me to go have dinner with him and Jacob, he thought it would trigger Jacob to finally shift. But that's not how it worked and Billy knew that. He just didn't want to be disappointed in his son, in case if he never shifted. To take my mind off things, Paul had asked if I wanted to cliff diving with Sams cult. I obviously said yes, I needed a good distraction. And this was definitely a good distraction. So here we are. Standing at the top of the cliff. Jared had already jumped off, and Embry was soon to follow suit. Paul and I were shoving each other, before I heard a truck engine stop. I looked to my left and saw my imprint and a girl looking at us from the road. He started to explain what we were doing, and I didn't hear the rest of his explanation because Paul pushed me off the cliff. I quickly grab his arm and pull him with me. The water submerges us and my bare back scrapes a rock. I put my arms down and push myself off the rock, before swimming up to the surface. Paul reaches the surface before me and starts to make fun of me for being slow. I rub my eyes to get some of the water out of them. I huff and push Paul under. Embry follows my lead, and pushes Jared under. Sam chuckles at us and shakes his head. Paul pinches my arm and throws me under. My arm reaches for his foot and my fingers skim his toes, tickling him. He lets go of me and I come back up to the surface. We all turn towards Sam who's just looking at us, then look at each other. Grins spread across our faces as we jump towards Sam at the same time. I use all my strength and push him under, as do the boys. Sam finally gets out of our grip and splashes us. "Let's go back to Emily's. I'm sure she's cooking something." We all agree and swim to the shore. After drying off we pile into Sams truck. Sam and Paul in the front, with the rest of us in the bed of the truck. "Paul told us Jacob was your imprint." Embry murmurs. I turn around and glare at Paul who puts his hands up in mock surrender. "Don't worry we haven't told him." "Well I haven't talked to him since we were kids so, I haven't told him either." "He'll shift soon enough, and realize that you're his imprint." Jared puts a hand on my shoulder, trying to comfort me. I appreciate the small gesture, and pat his hand. "Well what about you guys? Have you found your match yet?" I ask with a smirk. Embry is quick to answer my question. "Well Sam has Emily, Paul has Rachel, which is Emily's half sister. Jared has Kim. I have myself, oh and pizza." Embry explains. I nod my head with a smile as we pull into Emily's. I beat the boys out of truck and into Emily's house. The smell of fried chicken fills my nose and I gladly sit down at the dinner table. "You must be Artemis!" I turn around and see a tall woman walking towards me. I smile and give her a hug. "I'm Emily, which I'm sure you knew." I nod and sit back down. The boys file into the house and all sit around me. Sam walks over to Emily and kisses her. She swats him away and grabs the chicken off the counter. Sam grabs the rest of the food that she cooked, bringing it over to us. "Here is dinner." We all thank her before digging into the meal. "I love your swim suit!" Emily points at my bikini. My bikini is all black with small white mandalas swirling around it. "Thank you! I got in on sale at the small store in the mall." We delve into the topic of swimwear, and the boys groan. "You can leave if you have a problem." Eventually they all get sick of listening to us talk about clothes, and they all eat outside on the porch. "I'm sorry that Jacob doesn't know." Emily puts a comforting hand on my shoulder. "Well I can't control everything. Sadly. I'm sure Sam was in the same situation with you though." Emily nods her head, a small smile gracing her lips. "Sam was dating my cousin Leah at the time. He had broken up with her as soon as he shifted, because he knew I was his imprint. For months I refused to talk to him, I turned down all his attempts to win me over. Until one day I realized he wasn't going to stop. So I sat down with him, and he explained the whole wolf thing and imprinting. And I eventually fell in love with him." She looks out the window and stares at her fiancé. "Jacob will shift soon enough, and you two can be together." I nod my head and give Emily a hug. "Now let me help you clean up." I start to pick up my dishes before Emily swats me away. "You are a guest in this house, I'll make the boys come clean it up." Emily tells me, before calling the boys in. They all groan, but they do everything Emily asks. "Also congrats on not falling for Sam, and joining the pack. He told me that you wanted to be independent." "I just don't like being tied down to anything. Especially something this big. Also I don't listen very well, and silence isn't my strong suit." I explain to her. "Girl power." She raises her hand for a high five, and I gladly slap it.
