"Well when the hell is she going to wake up?" Jacobs yells fill my ears.
"We don't know. She's trying to fight the venom, and she honestly shouldn't have lasted this long." My eyes shoot open.
"What the hell happened?" I groan. Jacob rushes to my side, and helps me sit up on the table.
"What do you remember?"
"I remember coming home from Warm Springs and deciding to stop and get something to eat. Then two vampires attacked me, and one bit me." My hands travel to my neck and I rush to the closest mirror. My feet carry me faster then they normally would. "What the hell?" I pull my hand back to find no holes, but a faint silver scar. I look at my face. I have no wounds, but my eyes are a weird yellow color. I raise a hand to my cheek, and my eyes turn back to their dark brown color. I turn around. "Why am I not dead?"
"You turned into a hybrid I think." My head snaps to the left, and I see Alice standing there.
"What the hell does that mean?" I growl.
"You're half werewolf, half vampire. I'm guessing that your werewolf genes fought the venom, and when that didn't work they just combined. You really wanted to stay alive." The blonde vampire explains.
"How did you know where I was?" I ask Alice.
"I saw a vision of you getting attacked, and we rushed to Seattle." I nod my head.
"How long have I been out?"
"Three days." Jacob murmurs.
"I'm sorry."
"No I'm sorry. I told you to stop in Seattle. This is my fault." I wrap my arms around my imprint.
"I would've stopped anyways. It was storming so bad." I tell him. He nods his head and buries his face into my neck. The others leave the room to give us a minute. Jacob let's go of me and sits down on the table I was laying on.
"I thought you were dead. I felt our connection sever. I started to mourn, until Alice called me. I don't even know how she got my number." He chuckles and I sit beside him. "I rushed over here this morning when she called me. I felt our connection stronger than ever when I got here, and I knew you'd wake up soon."
"They didn't call you for two days?"
"They didn't know if you were gonna make it or not, and didn't want to give me false hope." He explains.
"Do Paul and Jesse know?" He shakes his head.
"I told them you decided to stay in Seattle for a few days."
"I can't believe this is happening." I get off the table and walk over to the window. Jacob follows me over and wraps his arms around my waist. "Sam won't let me live." I murmur. Jacob lays his head on my shoulder.
"You're my imprint, he can't."
"He won't care. Sam knows I'm a threat." I turn around in his arms.
"You're not a threat Artemis." He growls.
"We don't know that." He lowers his eyes. "I don't know what I'm going to do."
"You can stay here." Both of our heads snap towards the door way. Edward Cullen leans against it, staring at us. "Sorry for barging in, but everyone in this house can hear what you're saying."
"I can't stay here." I shake my head at the mere thought. Living in a house full of vampires? No thank you.
"Why not? Carlisle will study you, teach you how to better yourself, how not to be a threat. Yes we are all vampires in this house, but you forget that you are now too." He argues.
"If I stay here you won't harm my pack members that are coming up from Warm Springs?" He shakes his head.
"Wait what?" Jacob turns me towards him.
"Lily appointed me the new Alpha before I left. Whenever she dies, the pack becomes mine. She's sending a few members up here to keep me safe." I explain.
"Why didn't you tell me?" He asks.
"I wanted to surprise you when I got home." I mumble.
"We won't hurt them." Edward assures me. "This is what's best for everyone."
"This isn't your business." Jacob hisses. His skin starts to become super warm and I can feel the anger radiating off of him. I lay my hand on his cheek and he leans into my touch.
"If they can help me, whats the harm in trying? None of us know how to deal with this, and hopefully they can help me to understand what's going on." I turn towards Edward. "And you'll let Jacob see me whenever he wants?" He nods his head. "Then I'm in. I'll have to get my stuff from the house, and explain to Paul and Jesse what's happening." Edward nods.
"I'll drive you." Jacob grabs my hand and leads me out of my new home. We get into the Rabbit and drive to the house.
As soon as we enter into La Push, the sounds of wolves howling pushes Jacob to go faster. We speed down the roads and eventually reach the house. I rush out of the car and into the house. Jesse sends me a confused look from his spot at the table, but I ignore him and run to the basement. I grab my suitcase and bags, and start filling them with everything of mine that I could find.
"What the hells going on?" Jesse yells.
"Long story short. I got bit by a vampire in Seattle and now I'm a fucking hybrid thing. Sams probably not gonna let me live, so I'm going to stay with the bloodsuckers of Forks." I rush out. I zip up my bags and lug them up the stairs. "Jesse I love you so much, and thank you for taking me in when I needed it most." He nods his head and embraces me.
"I love you to kiddo, now go." He pushes me out of his arms and out the front door. Jacob was standing by the door, making sure no one came in. He grabs the duffel bag out of my hand and we put the bags in the trunk. We get in the car and Jacob speeds off towards Forks.
