Emma heard that there was a new teacher taking the defense against the dark arts post and she panicked. She loved last years teacher, professor Lupin. He was the best. Emma knew that the post was cursed by Voldemort. He wanted this post for so long but couldn't get it. She made her way to the great hall and sat at the Gryffindor table with Harry, Ron, and Hermione. She smiled at them and Dumbledore made his way to the podium.
"Attention Hogwarts! This year we will have a new Teacher taking the Defense against the dark arts post, please welcome Tom Riddle." He said and everyone clapped. A handsome young man stood up and looked around the crowd, smirking. His eyes landed on Emma. His eyes searched hers and she looked away. She instantly felt sick. Tom kept his eyes on Emma the whole dinner until she stood up.
"Excuse me." She said and the whole hall watched as she ran away. The hall whispered until Dumbledore stood up.
"Quiet! We will have the Prefect search for her. Please go back to dinner." He said and Percy Weasley stood up and exited. Percy went around the hall until he heard a sob. He looked and saw Emma with birds around her head. She sniffed and sighed.
"Emma?" She heard someone say and saw Percy Weasley.
"Go away Percy. I don't want to talk right now." She said and passed him. He sighed and grabbed her wrist.
"I won't leave until you tell me what's wrong." He said and she sighed. Percy sat on the steps and she followed.
"You know that new defense against the dark arts teacher? He reminds me of someone I met a long time ago." She said and leaned her head against his shoulder. He wrapped an arm around her and sighed.
"I'm glad that your my best friend." Emma said and Percy smiled.
"Me too." He said and they did get noticed by the new hot teacher.
"What are you doing at this hour, both of you?" He asked in a strong voice, Emma felt her legs tumble a bit when she stood up.
"I-I-I was here and Percy came and comforted me. Punish me instead of him." She said and looked Tom in the eyes.
"Detention in my classroom. Tomorrow." He said and walked away. Emma sighed and helped Percy up.
"Jeez If already the first day and your already in trouble." Percy said and you turned and glared at him.
"Hey remember I'm taking this for you." She said and punched his arm lightly. She giggled and walked away.
~Detention~
Emma sighed as she entered the classrooms in with Tom watching her every move.
"I'm here to serve the Detention." She said and he nods.
"Sit in the desk in front of me and copy the board." He directed and she nods. The board read I mustn't run away from the new hot teacher. Emma looked confused but copied it down 5 times. When she was finished she brings it up to Tom. He looks up at her and smirks.
"Done. Like you said." She said and internally sighed at his features close up.
"Alright. You may go." He said and she turned around packing her things. Sh was about to touch the handle when a hand grabbed her waist. She spun around and was met with a pair of lips on hers. She sighed and kissed back. Tom broke the kiss and smirked.
"So you do like me." He said and she looked at him shockingly.
"H-h-h what?" She asked and he shook his head smirking.
"It's just a test. Go to class." He said and she walked away with a confused look on her face. While Tom watched her walk away with a smirk planted on his face.
