Y/n smiles when she woke up in the Slytherin dormitory. She ran downstairs and saw that they're were a lot of presents. Most people were there and opened their presents. All except Tom. He sat on the couch and watched them all opened up gifts. Y/n sighs and went to get her presents. She picked them up and gently sat next to Tom. He watched as she opened her gifts. She had a handmade sweater by her parents with her first letter of her name on it, plus the color was grey and green. Next, she had gotten a new journal with her initials engraved on it. She opened it and out dropped a note. She opened it and read it. My dearest Y/n, I'm really sorry I didn't come for you birthday. Well before something happens to me, just know I will always love you. Here is a notebook I wanted to give you in person for you birthday. I handmade it just for you, and you only. It's made with your favorite kind of leather and I just want you to know that I love you. Have a great school year! Love always, Grandpa L/n Y/n was in tears because her grandpa passed two days after her birthday in the hospital. He died after that and she was devastated. "What's wrong L/n? Cat bite your tongue?" Tom asked her. She looked at him and sighed. "None of your business Riddle. Why do have to be so cold sometimes?" Y/n said and left her presents to go upstairs and drown in her sorrows. Tom grabbed the note and read it. He looked up and swallowed. So that why she was crying? All because her grandpa died. Tom smirked.
The next day Y/n got her presents back and was greeted with Tom waiting for her at the bottom of the stairs. He held something behind his back. "What's wrong with you?" Y/n asked him and he brought out some flowers. "I thought I'd give them to you. Look I-I'm sorry for acting the way I did yesterday. It was a horrible move." He said and she kissed his cheek. "I forgive you." She said and walked away.
