We're in this Together

Chapter 3

You and Sam decided you needed to go out and do something to get your minds off things, so you decided you would go on a double date, you, Jake, Sam, and Kat. You planned a bunch of fun things that you all could do all day. You were going to keep it a secret, but you remembered your last secret, so you decided to tell Jake, so it would be a surprise for Sam and Kat. All you told them was to meet you at the pier at 11:00AM.

"So, the first thing on the agenda is to hang out on the pier,play games, but most importantly ride the ferris wheel." You said.

"I think we should start with the ferris wheel so we don't have to worry about carrying stuff onto it." Sam said.

"Sounds great." Jake and Kat said in sync.

You all walked to the ferris wheel, and took your seats. You and Jake sat across from Sam and Kat. After an amazing ferris wheel ride, you guys walked around and played games, you and Kat winning more prizes than Sam and Jake.

"Y/N, stopppppp. I'm supposed to be the one winning you prizes, not the other way around!" Jake whined, as you won another prize.

"Maybe we should go onto our next plans. Lunch." You said laughing.

Jake drove everyone to the restaurant, which was super fancy. You all walked in and got seated at your table. After you ordered, you got up to use the restroom. While you were in the restroom washing your hands, you heard Kat laugh, since her laugh is loud. Her laugh reminded you of Sam and Colby's "Truth or Strip."

*Flashback*

You didn't want to participate in the truth or strip, so you decided to just sit behind the camera and watch. The game had just started, and Colby got this question, "Name one thing you don't like about Katrina, my girlfriend."

"Katrina's great, and a likeable person. But sometimes, I'm trying to sleep, and she has this..." He paused to laugh. "I'm trying so hard not to be mean this is bad..." He was interrupted by a plane. "So Katrina, as you know, has a beautiful laugh, but sometimes it can be a loud laugh. We can agree on that. Katrina, it's not a bad laugh, I'm not making fun of the laugh, it just can be loud sometimes."

*Current time*

You walked out and started heading to the table, when you saw Sam was gone and Katrina and Jake were sitting side by side, laughing and looking at each other.

"What's this?" You walk up right behind them and ask.

They freak out and turn around, scared by you.

"Oh, it's nothing... we were just..." Jake quickly gets up and moves to the other side of the booth. Sam walks up behind you, "What's goin on, guys?" He looks at you.

"Nothing, I just got back from the bathroom." You take your seat next to Jake, with some distance. Sam sits down next to Kat and hugs her, while she is looking at you. You couldn't eat because of what just happened, so you pushed your food aside.

"Are you going to eat?" Sam asks you, noticing you pushed your food away.

"No, I don't feel good." You make up an excuse to go home. Sam, Kat, and Jake all finish eating, and you guys decided to go home since you "didn't feel good." You had to ride with Jake, but you ignored every attempt he made to talk to you.

"Y/N, I'm sorry. It was really nothing. Can't you understand that?" You contiued to look out the window.

"I never wanted to hurt you..."

"Then why did you do it? Why couldn't you be honest with me? And with Kat?! This is going to tear Sam apart!"

"That's why he can never know! You cannot tell him about this! He is already hurting from what happened to Colby, this will just destroy him!"

"He needs to know!" Jake slams on the brakes.

"He can never know, and you can't tell him."

You look out the window and whisper. "But I have to."
