When Ellie woke up, she was shining. Her eyes were still closed, but she was already looking for Nick's hand. She smiled when she found it. 'Good morning' 'Good morning, Ellie'. She got close to him, and he started kissing her on her cheek. She laughed, and he smiled seeing her happy. 'How had you slept?' 'Well, Nick. I'm rested' 'Good. Well, it's Sunday, another team has the shift today. Do you wanna stay in bed?' 'Yes, I like the idea'. 'Good'. She snuggled up on his chest, where she felt comfortable and safe. He kissed her on her head. 'I love your skin' she stated, moving her fingers on his body. 'And I love yours. It's so pure. I'll protect you, Ellie' 'I know, I trust you. Your arms are one of the few places where I feel safe'. 'You're not in danger, your safety is my priority'. They stayed there for a while, not saying anything, just cuddled on the bed. 'I'm hungry' she stated, breaking the silence. He laughed. 'Unbelievable' he said. 'What did I say?' 'Nothing weird, but it was a sweet moment, you know, and you broke it' 'Well, we couldn't stay in silence all the day. My stomach is asking for some feed' 'Let me see'. He kindly rubbed her stomach. 'Yes, you're definitely hungry'. She started kissing him on the face, staying close to him. 'I go to prepare the breakfast' 'No, don't leave me. I'm so comfortable here' 'I'll come back, baby. I promise'. He placed a kiss on her lips, then he got up.
He came back with a tray full of food and beverages. 'Here you are, my princess'. They started eating. 'So. - Nick said, eating a pancake - Have you got any plan for today?' 'I don't know. I have that book to finish. That one on your right'. He looked at the night stand. There was the same book she was reading on the couch when he saw her home for the first time. 'Yes, I remember that. You were very cute while you were reading it'. 'It would be one of those things I was mocked for at the high school' 'No, hey. High school is over, Ellie. And you're a strong woman. Nobody can laugh of you anymore'. She smiled, leaning her head on him. 'You really appreciate me. It's comfortable to have someone like you'. He kissed her on her forehead, then he wiped out a crumb near her mouth. She kissed him, leaning her hands on him. Then she moved on him, her hands were on his shoulders. A phone interrupted them. 'Damn it' he whispered. 'I'll let it ring' 'Yeah, good idea', he stated, while he was still kissing her. But the phone was ringing. 'Damn it!' she said. Then he grabbed her phone. It was a FaceTime video call from McGee. She showed Nick her screen, making him laugh. 'Hi, Tim' 'Hey, Ellie. Are you still in bed?' he asked, noticing the pillow behind her. 'Oh, yes' 'Have you just woken up?' 'No, not exactly'. 'But... is there anyone with... oh' 'Yes, McGee. Oh'. 'I didn't wanna interrupt you, guys'. Nick piped up on Tim's phone, shaking his head. 'Tim, who are you talking with?' Delilah asked, behind him. Nick leaned his head on Ellie's shoulder, getting the romantic atmosphere had been broken. 'Tim, leave them alone' Delilah suggested, recognizing the faces on Tim's screen. 'I didn't know they were together! And I have to ask Ellie a thing' 'Tell me' Bishop said. 'Ok, there is this new video game...' 'Really, man? A video game? - Nick asked - You interrupted this because of a video game?' 'Well, it is amazing' 'WE were doing something amazing, man. Something important. Something real.' 'Ok. - Ellie said - Tim, talk me about this video game'. His fellow agent started talking about it, describing it in every detail, and making Nick's eyes become wide. 'It's gonna be cool' Ellie stated. 'Yes, we should play this afternoon' he suggested. 'Uh, no. We've already got some plans' Delilah added. 'Oh, that's true. I'm sorry, Ellie. Now I gotta go. Bye guys'. The four of them greeted each other, then they ended the video call. 'I'm sorry for the interruption' Ellie said. 'No worry'. He kissed her. 'Well, we have time. Where we were?' she asked, moving on him.
