The morning after Ellie woke up, seeing Nick on a chair next to her. 'Good morning, princess' 'Good morning, my prince' 'How do you feel?' 'Good' she said, rubbing her stomach. He got up, placing a kiss on her lips. 'I should go home today' she stated. 'I'd like it. You're gonna spend the next months at home'. 'W-what?' 'Well, you... do you... do you wanna work?' 'Well, yes!' 'But, baby... it's dangerous. And stressful'. Ellie barely raised her back. 'Nick, c'mon. You know me. I can't stay home doing nothing. I'll stay at my desk, I was an analyst, I can do that'. Nick moved a lock of hair behind her ear. 'Ellie, I just wanna keep you safe' he said, holding her hand. 'I know, Nick. I'll talk to Gibbs. And he'll tell me that I'll stay at my desk'. 'You're sure?' 'Of course, Nick! Hey, I'm pregnant, not sick!'. Saying that, she moved her hand back. 'Ok, ok. I'm sorry. Of course you can work. Do you forgive me?' She looked straight in front of her. 'Ellie, I'm sorry. You're an amazing independent woman. And I admire you' he said, holding her hand again. 'I can take care of myself' she stated, finally looking at him. 'I know'. Ellie turned again, after she heard someone knocking on the door. 'Gibbs, hi'. 'Bishop, I think we should talk'. She nodded. Nick got up, but Ellie was still holding his hand. 'Hey, Nick. Bend down'. He did it, and she kissed him. Then he caressed him. 'Thanks for taking care of us'. He smiled, before leaving Gibbs and her alone.
'You told him about the baby' Gibbs stated. 'Yes, and he's happy'. 'And what about you?' 'I'm happy too'. 'How many weeks?' 'Six'. He nodded. 'You'll be an amazing mother, Bishop' he said, caressing her hair. 'Thanks. We should talk about work' 'Yes, we'll do it when you'll get out of the hospital'. 'Ok'.
'I'm so proud of you, you're really handling all of this in the right way' he said, sitting next to her. 'Well, you really helped me' 'Yes, but you grew up so much in these years. You arrived and I saw a potential in you. And you didn't let me down. You became such a great agent, and an amazing woman. You're smart, determined and strong. You know, sometimes, when I look at you, I think... my daughter would be just like you'. She sniffled, and he wiped up a tear which was screaming down her cheek. 'You'll be a great grandfather, Gibbs. 'Cause you're already a great father'. 'And you're a great daughter' he replied, placing a kiss on her forehead. 'I'll talk with Torres' he stated. 'Please, Gibbs. Don't go too far'. He chuckled, standing up and going away.
