*** Chapter Seven ***

Nick woke up before Matthew the next morning. He was sore and tired, he also realized he was sick. Something in his stomach was making him lean over the toilet and get sick painfully (A/N This chapter may be gross, I've started watching House, MD so this is kinda inspired by rhe show).

Unfortunately for Nick, he was throwing up blood. Nick knew enough about medicine and the human body to know he probably had some internal bleeding.

Steve was downstairs, watching Tv as usual. Nick casually made his way over to him. "Can you take me to the hospital?" He whispered. "Where's Matt?" Steve asked. "Asleep, I really need to go to the hospital, now." Nick begged. "Why?" Steve was about to say something more when Nick fell on the floor and started shaking. "N-now!" Steve called for an ambulance.

Mr. Laws woke up in a cold hospital room. Matthew was hovering over him. "Hi honey." Nick turned his head away. "Excuse you?" Matthew yelled. Right then a doctor with a clipboard came in. "Mr. Lush I'm going to have to ask you to leave a minute." The doctor put the clipboard down and escorted Matt out. Nick waited for the doctor to come back with bad news.

"You threw up blood and had a seizure. " the doctor informed Nick. "I know." Nick replied. The doctor wiped the small smile off her lips. "That's not the only problem though Mr. Laws."

"What's wrong?"

"We think the symotoms were caused by drug poisoning, and there's bruises on your arms and back, were those from your boyfriend?"

"What?" Nick shook his head. "He didn't poison me." The doctor looked down at his hands and noticed something was wrong. "Your fingers are blue. You might have a hemorrhage." The doctor grabbed Nick's fingers and did some tests.

The doctor left for a while and returned with test results. "It appears to have been a hemorrhage, which we can fix, no problem."

"That's great!" Nick cheered. "The hemorrhage was caused by bruises or cuts to your skin. We didn't find any cuts, but bruises on your wrists and back. Now, how did you get those?" The doctor questioned Nick.

"If it's your boyfriend you need to tell me, or anoyher doctor. We can help you, Mr. Laws "

"What do you mean?" Nick pretened to not have any idea what the doctor was alking about. He didn't want Matt to be mad at him.

"Are you in an abusive relationship?" The doctor asked. "If I say yes?"

"Your boyfriend goes to jail and you get therapy and you can sue him for a certain amount of money." The doctor told Nick. He took a deep breath. "I'm in an abusive relationship, but you can't tell Matthew that I told you!!! Please don't tell him!?" Nick begged.

"Don't worry. It's taken care of Mr. Laws." The doctor announced. Nick felt a weight he never knew was on him, get taken off.
