the figure said in a deep staticky voice as it cast a shadow over me I was frozen like a deer in head lights I stayed like that for barely a second then my body is I flood with adrenalin and I do the first thing that comes to mind 'run' I duck in between his legs making a mad dash to try to find the exit of the forest all I hear is static and my vision was starting to go black but I push on I feel like I'm going to collapse and my lungs burn from my frantic breathing and the cold dry forest air that invades my lungs I run for what felt like forever I was about to lose hope and the static was getting louder but then I see that there is less and less trees the farther I run thinking it will be a clearing gives me a glimmer of hope and I'm filled with a new found energy that gives me the strength to keep running and run faster with longer strides giving it all that I got going into full sprint the last 100 meters to the clearing the sky clears up and the static faids away the closer I get to civilization I still don't stop running till I see people when I do I fall to my knees on the spot panting heavily sweat dripping down my face ' too much running for one day' I wipe my face and try to calm my erratic breathing
