Tbh if my child came to me and told me they were trans, I probably wouldn't make a big deal out of it.

I'd be like, "Oof same."

And then I'd take them shopping to get the type of clothes they would want to wear. And I'd let them get their hair styled anyway they'd like. AND I'D LET THEM GET PIERCINGS IF THEY WANT.

IF MY CHILD WAS A TRANS WOMAN I'D BUY HER MAKEUP (I'd buy it for my son too, if he wanted it.) AND DRESSES AND LET HER PICK OUT CUTE OUTFITS AND SHOES. AND HELP HER DO HER HAIR BECAUSE IM A GOOD DAD-

IF MY CHILD WAS A TRANS MAN. I'D LET HIM GET HIS HAIR CUT, AND GET A BINDER (only if it's safe for him) AND GET HIM SOME NICE DRESS SHIRTS AND PANTS AND SOME FANCY SHORTS AND SUCH CAUSE IM A GOOD FUCKING DAD.

And EVEN IF THEY DONT WANT TO CHANGE HOW THEY DRESS (because clothes are genderless) OR IF THEY DONT EVEN WANT  TO CHANGE THEIR APPEARANCE BECAUSE THEY LOVE HOW THEY LOOK, THEN I WONT QUESTION THEIR DECISION.

NO TRANS PERSON HAS TO BE
COMPLETELY MASCULINE OR COMPLETELY FEMININE TO BE CONSIDERED TRANS-

All I'll do is call them by their preferred name/pronouns, and support them because they're my child and I love them. Because I know what it's like to not be excepted by someone you love, and I would never want my child to go through that.
