Good morning Los  Angeles! It's a lovely Monday morning of August 1st! I'm Grace Potts and KTLA is bringing you the most updated news this morning. Our first story is in music, today marks the tenth day "Loved Up" by Britt Morris has been number one on the Itunes charts! The album is to hit stores next week.

This is how i start every morning. The alarm sounds, making me open my eyes, i hit snooze, it sounds, snooze and then finally i remember im an adult and i have to actually get up and work. Coffee is my best friend around this time, that and my daily dose of KTLA.

Buffy walks in, stretching his hind legs, he knows its Monday. Which means for him more sleeping and eating and sun beam bathing. I wish i was a cat.

After making myself look some what human, im in the car jaming to coldplay. LA has never stopped amazing me. After spending 18 years in Portland, this place is like another planet. I'm all for Oregon, but i wanted to do something with my life. LA just seemed to be my calling.

After pulling into my usual parking spot, i get out and grab my bag. Same as every day. The building Morris Publishing was located is pretty amazing. All glass on the outside with a big MORRIS on the top of the thing. The entry had a fountain and all marble floors. The people that worked here all stood for one thing: Literature.

Lit is  one thing that bonds people, its the thing that makes you see outside your crappy life and get a taste of something great. It's what makes you wait months for the next book to come out, or the thing that makes you judge the Hollywood teased version on the big screen.

My job, was to make sure Morris only publishes good reads. So i sit and read all day and correct grammar. All the stuff you probably hate doing.

"Sophie!" I turn to see Lucas waving to me from the doorway of the break room.

"Hey" I greet, " How was your weekend?"

"Swell" He says nodding, "I drove down to OC to see my mom, she had a list of house work a mile long"

"Yikes" I say grinning, "I watched New Girl with Buffy"

"The usual" Lucas laughs, i nod to and walk to my desk to see the blue file siting there, my name printed on it.

"And thus the week begins" Lucas announces. I nod, opening and taking out the first piece of work.

"London Hearts" I say reading the title out loud, "What did you get?"

" King's Queen" Lucas sighs, making a face.

Lucas is the type of guy who lives of modern marble and the history channel. He loves facts and the technical side of things. So a romance novel isnt something he wil find to appealing. I guess thats why we get along so well, we are different. He is one of my best friends, the other being Grace.

I was about a quarter of the way through when Tasha knocked on the door, peeking her head through the crack. "Mr Morris has an announcement"

Standing in my usual spot beside Lucas, we stand there while Mr. Morris walks up and stands in the middle of the desks.

"Happy Monday everyone" He laughs, "I would like to welcome our newest addition to the team, Noah Harper. He's from New York, NYU grad so we need to show him just how great the West coast is"

Beside Mr. Morris stands the most perfect man i've ever laid eyes on. He has brown eyes and dark hair. He smiles and waves. People whisper around and i turn to Lucas,  who is picking at the side hem of his pants.

"Holy Cow" I say quietly. Noah's eyes scan the faces, his eyes settle on mine. I smile and he smiles back. He turns to look past me and i notice his chin and cheek bones. He really is a beautiful human being.

"Soph" Lucas says, making me turn my head.

        "What" I say

"What's Britt dong here?" I turn to see the blonde angel herself walk through the doors of the office. Mr. Morris smiles and bring her into a fatherly hug. She smiles, in her short dress and 100 inch heels and flips her hair.

        "Hi daddy" She says

"Pumpkin" he greets, "I was just introducing Noah to the team"

"Hi" Noah says, shaking Britt's hand. She gives him a seductive look and puckers her red caked lips.

"Arent you a cutie" she purrs. I give Lucas a look.

"Thanks" Noah says, "Congrats on being number one again"

"Oh that" She says, brushing it off, "Thanks babe"

"Miss Travis" Mr Morris calls, i turn and walk to him, giving him a smile. "Can you show Noah around? I'd do it myself but Britt needs me to help with her album"

"Of course" I smile, i turn and Lucas gives me a look, i shrug. Mr Morris nods and pats Noah on the back before leading his daughter out.

" Alrighty, so welcome to Morris Publishing" I say, "I'm Sophie"

        "Noah" He says smiling.

I lead him to different places and he stands there, with his hands in his pockets and listens to each word. I show him the break room and tell him good places to eat around town.

"This would be my office here" I say, walking past it but he goes in. I turn and follow him in. He stands behind my desk looking at the shelf.

        "Whos this" He asks.

"My mom and i" I say walking to stand beside him.

"You have quite the collection of books here"  He comments looking down the row.

"Yeah" I say, " C S Lewis is the greatest"

"If you arent to keen on detail" He comments turning away from the shelf.

"Well we cant all be Tolkiens now can we?" I say

" Are you saying you dont find his ability to create such detailed writing is not impressive?" he asks, leaning against my desk.

" I applaud his writing but i think to much detail will bore a reader" i respond

        "Interesting" He says.

" It might just be me but i dont care about what color the hair on Bilbo's feet are, i like to image a bit you know?"

"Then is the writing really yours when you leave it to the reader to finish the picture?"

"Isnt the job of an author to enterain the reader? wouldnt letting them image details such as the color of the flower pot be something that would amuse the reader?" I say back

Noah stands straight then, and walks to the door.

        "I like you, Sophie"
