Despite the lovey dovey wave of emotions we were both feeling, it took us both half way through our flight to New York to realize the huge mistake Noah had made. We both forgot about Britt and the reactions the media will get from her 'Boyfriend' yelling his love for me in the airport.
Noah sighed and rubbed his head in his hand in frustration. Neither of us knew what to do at this point. I personally felt it was worth it, that the amazing feeling of being loved and having someone yell out in a public place was romantic. But Noah was going to get a lot of heat for it from Britt and her fans. So, the feeling quickly washed away. I felt guilty, even though it wasn't me who was in this fake relationship with her, i still felt like it was my fault.
"I don't know what to do" He whispered, his brown eyes looking up to me, in that cute puppy dog way that makes me melt.
"I dont either" I confess, shrugging, "Maybe we should just forget about it for now and worry about it later when we get home"
"Good call" He nodded, leaning back into his seat. "It was sort of worth it"
He gives me a slight smirk, my smile grows. "Yeah" I nod, "It was nice"
"I'm glad you think it was just nice" He says, "I thought it was life changing"
"Easy there, Augustus" I say, "Hazel needs some time to let it all sink in"
"Time is limited" He frowns, "We'll be at my parents house soon and lord knows nothing will get done then"
"And why is that?""Well" he says, "When i was with Taylor, every time i tried to kiss her, or even look at her, my mom would always step in. Ever single time, without fail"
I snort, " Maybe she just didn't like her"
"She didn't" He shrugs, "I feel like she knew it would end badly"
"Mom's know those type of things" I say, "It's like they have a gift"
"Motherly gift" He laughs.
Good Afternoon, We are nearing LaGuardia airport. Please place your fold out's into there up and locked position and buckle your seat belts. If you look out your window you will see the beautiful New York City.
I leaned over Noah and saw the city below, the cars and tall buildings. It all seemed so peaceful from how ever many miles up. Noah was smiling, and watching my reaction.
"It's so amazing" I mutter, not looking from the window.
"I missed it" He says, "LA is great, but nothing, nothing beats this city"
"Better than Portland" I snort.
We land and walk hand in hand to the baggage claim. After getting our bags we pull off to the side and wait for Noah's dad to pick us up. The weather is chillier then i thought it would be. I guess for late September it gets colder then back home. Which makes sense, now that i think about it.
"Noah!" I man yells, walking toward us. Noah lets go of my hand and walks to the man. He has dark hair with some grey and i know almost instantly that i was seeing his dad. The two hug and i stand there awkwardly and smile at the fatherly-son moment.
"Dad" He says, turning to me, "This is Sophie"
"Hello Sophie" He smiles, "I'm Brian"
"Hi!" I smile, "It's so nice to meet you!"
"You as well" He says, "Julia will be so excited to meet you. Noah's told us so much about you"
I turn to Noah to see his cheeks redden, his brown eyes locked to the tiled floor.
"oh" I giggle, "I've heard wonderful things about you
We follow his dad to the red mini van parked outside. Noah puts the bags in the bag and hops in the passenger seat. I fold my hands in my lap while i sit in the back seat.
"So, good flight?" He asks
Noah nods, "Yeah" He answers, "It was nice"
"Long i bet"
"Yep"
The radio plays in the back ground as i look out the window. The city always amazed me, i know i live in one of the most famous cities in the world, but i can never quite get over how amazing they are. How much art and culture and people can be packed in one little place.
After a bit, Brian turns onto a street where town homes line, small square yards sit with small drive ways. It looks something from a movie. They were so cute.
"Welcome to Queens, Soph" Noah smiles, helping me hop out of the van
"It's so cute" I smile, looking around the street.
"You get used to it, i guess" He shrugs.
Brian leads us up the driveway and into the house. The decorations are simple, but beautiful all the same. A woman is in the kitchen, pouring a glass of orange juice.
"Juls" Brian says, she turns and tears instantly fill her brown eyes.
"Noah" She cries, throwing her arms around her son. He hugs her back and i smile.
"Hi mom" He laughs, patting her back
"You are so grown up" she groans, "i missed you so much"
"It's only been two months, mom" He laughs
"Two months is a long time" She snaps, letting go of the embrace. "You must be Sophia"
"Sophie" I correct, smiling, "It's nice to meet you"
"I'm Julia, Noah's mom" She says, "It's nice to meet you as well, sweetie"
Brian carries our bags into the other room and Noah grabs for the glass of juice. His mom glares as he innocently drinks it all, her eyes never leaving his guilty smirk. I laugh.
"You both should go rest" She says, moving us from the kitchen, "I just put on new sheets. Go on and nap"
"Okay mom" He says, "Whatever you say"
He leads me up the stairs. I notice all the pictures hanging on the walls as we climb higher. Some of him when he was younger and a few when he was older.
I stop in front of him naked in the bath tube and giggle
"I was one" He groans, rolling his eyes. "C'mon"
He takes my arm and leads me into his room.
"I'm gonna nap" he says, "You should too"
"Okay" I nod, taking off my shoes. He lays back and smiles, patting the space beside him. I giggle and jump in next to him. Pecking his lips.
"I love you" He says
"I love you too"
"I love us" He says. I roll my eyes
"Go to sleep"
