We sit at lunch, not really talking. This morning really brought down the whole mood. I just looked down at my plate, my mind racing a million miles an hour. He didn't look up either, every once and i while we would both look up at the same time and make eye contact, but that would soon be broken.

"Okay" Noah says finally, "I can't take this"

I watch as he sets his fork on the side of his plate and looks up to me.

"Why aren't you talking?" He asks me, I open my mouth then quickly close it again. "Soph"

"I don't know" I stutter out, "You haven't said anything either"

"Because you aren't" He argues. I sigh and drop my fork and lean back in the chair.

"What do you want then Noah?" I fire, "For me to talk and then pretend that everything is fine? Everything is not okay."

"I know that" He hisses, "I'm the one who brought that to your attention. Then you went all 'we can do it' on me and now i don't know if you wanna get fired or you really just don't give a shit"

"Of course i give a shit" I snap, " You got me banned at work, i sure as hell cared!"

"Then why are we even together if you keep getting heat for it?" Noah yells

"Because i love you" i reply, "Love means that a person has to make some sacrifice. But you wouldn't know that"

"Whats that supposed to mean?" He snares

"It means" I begin, "Having a threesome with two girls i hate is something you shouldn't have done. My feelings should have been put in front of your weird sexual urges"

"So your trying to control me" He breathes

"No" I sass, "I just want some respect and maybe something out of this relationship"

"So i'm not enough?" He asks. I groan.

"I never said that" I plea, "I just want some respect"

"I do respect you" Noah argues

"A threesome with some whores while i'm with my mom isn't respect"

" We weren't together then" He argues, "You have no right to me mad about my past"

"Okay" I say, "but i still care"

        "Don't" He says

"If i didn't then this" I wave my finger between us, "we, wouldn't have even happened"

"Your kidding right?" He scoffs, "was the one who brought you here. It was me who yelled my love for you back at the airport. I didn't see you doing any of that"

"I got banned for work activities because of you" I say

"That isn't my fault" He says

"This is going no where" I say, standing and slapping my napkin on the table, "I'm going for a walk"

I march out of the dinning room and into the busy side walk out side the Plaza.  I cross the street and find myself walking around Central Park. I need air, i need time to think, i need Noah to understand what i'm saying.

I sit on a bench looking out on the lake. People walk past, not bothering to give me a second glance. It seems so calm out here, despite the street - New York sounds coming from behind the trees, i felt at peace.

        "Trouble in paradise?"

        There goes my peace.

"What are you doing here?" I groan, watching the blonde walk up to me and sitting on bench

"I was in the neighborhood" I roll my eyes

"bull shit" I hiss, "you are stalking me"

She waves me off, "No honey" She says, her fake hair blowing around her face, "You ran away to New York with my boyfriend, so i came to get him back"

"You flew all the way here, just to see your fake boyfriend?" I ask, eyebrows raised. She nods and smiles

        "We are dating"  I snort

"Sure you are" She huffs and looks at her perfectly painted nails

"You realize when you get back, you'll be fired right?" She says. I sigh and nod

        "yeah"

"good" She says, "I'd start job hunting"

"Britt do you ever get tired of being a complete bitch?" I ask

"No" She says, smiling at me "I like getting what i want, Sophie Travis"

"And i like having a job, Britt Morris" I say, "If this is about Noah, you can't have him."

        "Yes" She says, "I can"

"No, you can't" I start, "You can't control what i do, you aren't even my boss, so you really have no control over what i do in my work life or private life. This is a free country, and the last time i checked, you weren't elected president of my life"

"My daddy owns the company, which is where you work" She says, " I have more control over you then you can help"

"Your daddy has nothing to do with this" I snap, "You are a devilish bitch you is selfish enough to destroy my life for a boy"

"The heart wants what it wants" She shrugs

"No" I say, "You want what you want"

"And i get what i want" She replies

" If you want Noah so bad, then take him" I say, "I give up"

"soph?" I turn to see no one other then Noah standing a few feet behind us. A frown on his beautiful face.

Britt smirks and Noah walks closer to me.

"What do you mean?" He says, "Your giving up?"

"You were right" I say, "It's to much of a risk"

        "Soph-"

"No" I say, "This is to much drama, life is short and this isn't worth it."

"Yes it is" He says, "Sophie it's been three days"

"I know" I sigh, "But i'm glad it's now and not months down the road"

"Sophie please don't do this" He begs

"I'm sorry Noah" I say, "I'm so sorry"
