4 : I'll take her with me

"I knew it!" Fiona purred.

What? No! I need to kill him or at least scratch him a little. I looked around.
Shit.
His men now where all alarmed and ready to fight me.

Shit.

Even though there were only two of them I knew from their posture that they were skilled warriors.
Wait... if they are his men then that means ... that the man standing in front of me is the alpha!
I growled at him.

My father hissed. "Lauren, don't!" he begged.
Amy crawled to me. I was now standing in front of my family. Everyone was watching my every step.

"Shift, mate!" the man in front of me commanded.
I snarled. I'm not taking commands by him.
He stopped his men with a gesture to approach me.

"Shift!" it was quite noticeable that he was losing his temper. I won't! What if he starts kicking Dad again?
He is the alpha and our mate!
His presence was affecting me. Must be the stupid bond. I was so tempted to shift but then... family!

"Shift!" he barked again.
He looked like he wanted to kill me.
Amy had now gotten closer to me "Lauren, hun please shift! You aren't refusing to obey the alpha are you?" her eyes were watery.
Was she so afraid of that scumbag of a mate?!

"SHIFT NOW!" the alpha bellowed. Oh, wait it wasn't him. His eye colour changed from green to red. Damn, that's his wolf.
I've never seen a red eyed wolf before. And it was threatening, seeing him all angry...

I finally shifted. And curled into a tiny ball. I was naked and well I don't want people to see my naked body. I looked down.

Ok, this was so humiliating.

From the corner of my eyes I saw my father unbottening his shirt to give it to me when suddenly a cloth wrapped around my body. I looked up.
The alpha had just thrown his black cape at me. I wanted to refuse it, since I am not taking favors from the enemy.

The alpha wrapped me in his coat. His scent was so penetrating. Not in a bad way (unfortunately!). No, he smelled like forest and cologne?
His eye color changed to green. When he was done wrapping me up he caught me eyeing him. I looked away.

"You don't deserve this, kitten. But I can't let other men seeing you all naked, can I?" he now leaned into my ear. And damn I was just so close to kiss - wait... NO!

"Alpha, I'm sorry for my daughter's behavior. Please spare her! I- I will- she is innocent and still very young!" my father begged.

I turned around and wanted to rush to him, when an arm wrapped around my waist! His arm!!!
I looked at him. His eyes focused on Dad!

"I'll take your daughter with me. She is my mate and will from now on live with me."

"You knew it from the very beginning." purred Fiona happily.

"Please alpha, she is so young! I beg you! Please wait until she's old enough to be-" Amy interrupted. Her forehead was touching the soil. I felt like crying!
I swallowed the lump in my throat.

"Is she your daughter?" the man standing next to me asked.
After a few seconds of hesitation she admitted sadly "Alpha, she is not."

"Then you have no word in this!" he simply stated.

I ripped his arm off me and stared at him furiously.

"I don't want to live with you! Leave me alone!" I shouted.

"I am afraid I won't be able to do so from now on." he said looking at my clenched fists.
"Alpha, I beg you! She is not ready-"

"ENOUGH!" the alpha bellowed.

"Your were not able to provide the pack with the agreed amount of crop. That is reason enough to punish you and the villagers but I'll have mercy on you, since I've found my mate in your daughter.
So don't tempt me!
I'll take her with me."
