Actually this was ment to celebrate 500 reads but since I am an awkwardly slow writer and I kinda did not plan a special chapter like this nor did I foreseen that this story would become this famous - tada THANK YOU FOR 700 READS!!! (awkwardly scratching her neck)

3rd person narrator:

She sat in her armchair leaning against it and enjoying the warmth of the room while rubbing her bulged belly that indicated her heavy pregnancy.
It was one of those sleepless nights were noone was awake. Her husband slept peacefully in their shared bedroom, so she decided to leave to read in another room.
It was cold outside. Winter was coming with an icy gale. The cold did not bother her. These days she was feeling the burden of pregnancy with the heated feeling.
"It means that you are ready to deliver!" her maid and friend would stress.

Her pregnancy was unproblematic so far. And she hoped that it would stay that way. She was feeling weak lately but blamed it on the pregnancy.
Her new life as a soon to be mother was great. She couldn't complain: her husband was sweet and caring, her new environment friendly. Everything was perfect. And that was what bothered her.

It was too perfect.

This village idyll was the life she always dreamed of but now thinking of her previous life...
She shuddered the very thought of the place she escaped from made her feel cold.

She was not terrified of the abuse.
The scars she covered under her loose dress were a reminder of those times she was at his side.
She was afraid of him...

"You're still awake?" her maid asked lurking through the door.
She smiled and nodded. She went mute because of the mistreatment she suffered.
But her maid and her they shared a special bond. They were capable of understanding eachother without any words. That's how long they've been together. The only time they weren't was when she went through hell.
But she was happy that her maid wasn't there, that she didn't have to suffer the unbelievable.

When she escaped and came back nothing made her speak again.
Nothing could ever make her speak again.

"Honey, want some tea?" her maid asked worried. She shook her head.
The loyal maid wore the simple red dress she had given her as a present years ago. It was all worn out but the stubborn maid refused to wear another dress.
She would have to give her maid the dresses she used to wear using the excuse that she doesn't like them anymore.

"But you love tea! Biscuits or maybe a glass of water?" the maid offered.
She sighed.
Taking out her diary she wrote: "Don't worry I am good. I just feel a little uneasy, it's going away soon."

"You sure? Maybe I should call the doctor! Your delivery date is coming, honey!" the maid said worriedly putting her warm fingers on her head.
"You're burning, hun!"
"Normal. Don't stress! You forget that you're my bestfriend, calm down I don't want you to be ill."
"Oh, so what? Am I not allowed to worry? All you do is keeping things to yourself! I am your friend and maid. It's my duty to worry!"

She just smiled and closed her eyes.
There was nothing she could say.
The grouchy maid made her way to a chair near the fireplace and started knitting some scarf for the baby.
She knew that her friend and maid was conscientious sacrificing her sleep to keep her company.
She wanted her friend to search for her own mate, freeing her from the maid position she was in. But the loyal maid she was kept crying why she'd fire her.
She had no choice but take her friend in.

She suddenly felt cold again.
She got goose bumps.
And she knew that he was trying to find her.

He was on his way to get her back.
