32 : Dizzy

"If you ever have the urge to blackmail stingy Alpha you can always find me!" Victor proclaimed. "I know all the juicy stuff-"

 "Victor, I am afraid you're putting Lauren into a difficult position." Carlos said.

 "Ah, ah!" she wiggled her finger in front of his face. "You'll never know!" she grinned mischievously. 

"Allright then, Lauren if you may excuse us, we need to bid good bye to the other Alphas." Beta Carlos smiled embarrassed while urging Victor to go.

"Wait, wait, wait! I still have a lot to say-" was the last thing I heard from the lively Alpha before the two disappeared around the corner.

Grinning I went into the other direction just to.... bump into the McGomerys.

"Uuh, hello." I smiled awkwardly. Three pairs of eyes looked at me. Why does it seem like they don't like me? I felt a little sweaty somehow.

I've met Mr. McGomery already his calculating eyes burning into me. Brrr, bussinesman truly have an uncomfortable aura. Luna McGomery crossed her arms in front of her voluminous chest and then there was Mrs McGomery. I've already met her at my ceremony but we had no chance to talk to each other. Okay, okay they were actually not interested in talking to me.

Today was my first time assessing Mrs McGomery. Her blonde hair and sharp eyes made it seem like she was a stunning beauty in her youth. It was obvious that Luna McGomery was her daughter. Beside their aura their resemblance was just too remarkable. Both mother and daughter were pressing their lips into a tight line staring at the mark on my neck, that was visible for everyone to see.

"Long time no see, Ms...?" Mrs McGomery finally decided to answer to my greeting. Her daughter next to her just sneered. Yupp, nice to see you too Luna McGomery...

"Oh, please just call me Lauren." I suggested enthusiastically.

"Lauren..." Mrs. McGomery raised an eyebrow "what a sophisticated name..." her tone of voice... it seemed like she was making fun of me. Or maybe that's the way rich people talk?

"Thank you! That's very nice of you to say!" I smiled politely. 

Mr. McGomery scoffed. The older woman in front of me flipped her blonde hair behind her before walking towards me. 

"Don't even think about acting all haughty in front of my face! You're nothing special just because the Alpha has marked you. Nothing but a little slut and soon Alpha will get rid of your imbecile existence!" the older woman spat spitefully.

I stared at her in disbelief. And here I thought she was making compliments.

I looked at Mr McGomery and Luna McGomery who were both not effected by her rude and pejorative words at all. Somehow they were probably sharing her thoughts.

"I am sorry to break it to you, but you are acting extremely rude towards your Luna." I looked at her scrunching my eyebrows together. I've seen Logan doing that when he was angry and it left a huge impression on me how everyone was intimidated by that. 

"I am no woman, who acts rashly but be aware of your choice of words, Mrs.McGomery because I can't guarantee that my mate will approve of your behavior once he finds out!" I uttered. My calm expression was in contrast to the turmoil inside of me. I was nervous scolding an older woman so directly. Aaahh, what if she tries to scratch my face with her manicured fingernails? I had no chance against the three of them if they decided to go all berserk. 

Mrs. McGomery distorted face told me enough of her emotional state. Yupp, mother and daughter McGomery look alike when they are angry.

Just before she could spit a retort her husband grabbed her by her elbow. "We'll take our leave!" he announced icily before dragging his wife away. Luna McGomery gave me a venomous glare clipping "F#ck you, b#tch!" before pushing me.

I bumped against the wall with my back.

"F#ck you too, Luna!" I mumbled into the direction the McGomery girl strutted to.

Well, at least they were not beating me up. That's a good thing isn't it?

I smiled. Yupp, things could have gone worse. I wanted to look for Logan who had dismissed himself to go to the washroom. 

Suddenly I felt a mild nausea. 

Was the food I earlier ate not edible? I touched my temples trying to stay focused. 

What's going on? 

Why do I feel sodizzy suddenly. I couldn't hold it in and vomited all over the red carpet. One hand resting on the wall, the other one holding my hair I bent down to vomit everything I ate today as well as probably all my internal organs on the floor. 

Just when I was done emptying my stomach I suddenly felt all dizzy again. I slid along the wall having no strength to keep my body up. 

The last thing I saw from my blurry vision was a panicking Logan sprinting towards me yelling my name.
