Chapter 31 - The Warning

Amelia POV 

I sighed thinking about the training that day. Maxi opens his mouth first.

"Well at least everyone got along."

"But they didn't wanna work with someone from the other pack, that's not getting along."

"Luna I agree with Alpha Maximus on this one. They didn't try to start a fight and actually kill each other."

"Alex we'll have to agree to disagree."

"Alpha she does have a point on the factor that no one even bothered to make an effort to even talk to one another."

"I know Lincoln. I can't force them to get along."

"Yes, you can. Assign buddies for training so we can get along as a unified pack. They think things can keep going on but with an unknown war is going to happen to us just because Alex and I have our marks mean nothing to him. He will still try and take our powers away. Which is why we need them all to have each other's backs."

I really felt like I was on the verge of tears due to the factor of a monster after me and my brother that will kill anyone in its way. I decided I needed a breather from all of this.

"Hey Maximus, I'm going on a run to clear my head I should be no longer than 30 minutes."

He sighed and nodded walking to his office.

"Luna I suggest one of us come with you."

"I'm fine Lincoln, no reason to worry."

"He has a point sis, neither of us needs to be alone at any time."

"I am your Luna show some respect I can take care of my self. You all will stay here unless I say you can leave the pack house."

They all gulped and bowed their heads, I used my Luna's voice but I didn't care. I said I was fine I didn't need all their extra voices near me messing with my head. As a walked further from Maximus the less I could see. But that what I needed darkness. The place where I felt the most comfortable.

I started on a light jog and got faster as I went further. I was in my full human form so I just running off my senses. Which wasn't really getting me anywhere. I ran through the woods near the border when I felt a tingle run up my back. And when I say a tingle I don't mean a good one. I felt about four pairs of feet behind me.

I turn ready to attack.

"Oh, the pretty little Luna bares a mark. Should we tell him."

I growled.

"Fight me, you asshole."

"Ah, princess you shouldn't ask for such things or we might have to oblige you on that."

"The boss said just spook her boys. I think we've done that."

I hear them turn on their heels. Then one pair stops.

"Oh, girly he said watch your back, we're on our way."

"Tell him to go die, I don't have any magic and neither does my brother. So you can go kiss his ass."

He growled at that but kept on walking not passing the border and setting off any alarms which would ruin his masters' plans. Their footsteps faded slowly and once they were gone I thought of the office and puff I was there.

Maximus looked up. I guess my face wore a worried look because he was next to me in a second.

"What's wrong mate?"

"Rouges, near the border. Warning us to be prepared. I might have acted on impulses and talk back pissing them off more."

He patted my back holding me tightly to him.
