Chapter 9 - It'll Be Okay

Jillian's POV

We all went down stairs together but I spent most my time on the phone headed right back up the stairs when I called for Tam she had been in a meeting which is why we ended up not reaching her through a mind link we formed when the twins were born.

She said she would be the only one able to help. But she couldn't tell us what happened it was not her story to tell.

Then I heard a light cry and ran down the stairs. Only to find that Maximus was panicking it was written all over his face. He slowly reached for her and lowered himself so they were face to face. I watched in amusement when I saw that. The big bad alpha king panicking over his little upset mate. My daughter seemed to relax and let up on the crying turning them in slight quiet sobs. He picked her up and sat himself down on the couch with her in his lap. Her arms were around her neck. I don't think either of them realize how cute they look. I pull out my cell phone to take a picture. An snap I got it, and they didn't catch me so hahaha. I scored. Then my name was called and I rushed up the stairs.

" Tam's what wrong with him?"

"Well I gave him a special medicine for a special issue and it seems he waited to long after one then had another one on top of it. Which made his body panic and faint."

"No, I mean yes but what happened for you to give him that?"

"I still won't tell I made a witches sacred promise and bad things will happen if I break it. And I don't mean just to me. It will completely break his trust. He'll never trust anyone again. So I'm so sorry I can't tell you."

I sighed. Someone slid up behind me. Damon's presence causing me to calm down a little.

"How are you feeling Jillian?"

"I'm just worried."

I sigh again remembering his mate is down stairs. I slid out of his grip. I go to rush down the steps only to stop in my tracks. There he was at the door. I set down next to him and gave him a hug. He feel into it quickly. Slightly sobbing on my shoulder.

"How much did you hear?"

He took a breath and tried to make a sentence.

"I ...I ... I..'ve been up.... he...er. .. since you .... righ. . t... after you went up. Its ... all.. my.. fau... lt. .."

Oh no not good. This is definitely isn't good. This happened to me and Damon when he marked me. Well other then I'm not sure what happened between them to cause this. Then someone else spoke up.

"It wasn't your fault. It was mine. I never should have said what I said. It was uncalled for. I don't really think before I speak sometimes. Then he felt slight regeneration when you walked away afterwards. If I hadn't said anything you to would have mated right then. But I made a joke and it wasn't funny. It was uncalled for. I'm sorry Levi."

Helena apologizing oh moon goddess am I really seeing this. Her apologize for making fun of my son. I looked back at him then he bust out crying again.

"You see ... my fault. I www...all. .ked aaa...aww. .away."

Oh moon goddess. This poor child.

"Levi?"

His head slowly leaves my shoulder. His eyes look to mine.

"Follow me."

I stand up and put my hand out. He took it and stood up. He took off his jacket and used the inside to wipe the tears from him face. I walked in and pointed to the bed. He just stared at me confused.
"Go lay with him. It's fine. He's not going to die. He perfectly fine. Plus if his body knows your not going to regect him it's more likely to help him."

He nodded and walked over to Alex. I slowly pushed everyone out the room. But I watch from the door as he slides into the bed with him. He wraps his body around Alex's. I can tell Alex body realized it mate was there because it just wrapped his arms around his waist and slid his head into Levi's chest soooooooooo cute. I wanna take another picture. So I do. I love being a mom free blackmailing my kids for life. I love it. Once I have the pictures, I close the door.

I walk down the stairs to see everyone looking at something. I slide in front of Damon the follow his eyes. Then I see it. Maximus pulled the recliner out and they fell asleep. His face in her hair, his arms around her. And her back to his chest.

I pull out my phone.

"Why do you keep taking pictures love?"

I look up and with a straight face say.

"Blackmail."

"That's illegal you know."

"That may be true but it's only to keep their mates in line love."

He sighed and rolled his eyes. This ment he was disappointed but gave up on trying to stop me.

"Yeah I guess that's fine. Let's just go talk to everyone in the backyard."

With that we leave the kids be for now and walk outside.
