4 - Thank You Aidan

Today is Championship day. We are all gathered at the gym waiting for the game to start. We are warming up and doing stretching, preparing for the game. And I am still thinking about the short encounter I had with Aidan earlier this morning.

Flashback

I am walking at the school grounds alone, I just got here and I am still waiting for my friend Rachel to get her. While waiting I decided to walk, cause why not?

I'm pretty sure that no one else is here yet, it's too early for other students. It's 6:30 in the morning and I decided to go to school early.

Once I got tired walking I sat down at the grass of our field and relaxed waiting for Rachel. I leaned back at the tree behind me and shut my eyes inhaling the fresh air. This is one of the main reasons why I want to go to school early. While I am here relaxing, I heard footsteps coming towards me. I opened my eyes and I am shocked to see Aidan in front of me.

He is looking down at me and I think to myself "Is he following me?" I think he noticed that I'm thinking and he instantly said.

"I'm not following you. I swear" raising his hands up in surrender.

"What are you doing here this early?" I never thought he liked going to school early.

"I always go to school early. I like being alone. And this is actually where I stay during this time. I am as surprised as you are right now" My eyes widen in shock and I immediately stood to my feet and brushed away any dirt or grass that might have stuck to me.

"I'm sorry, I did not mean to invade your space. I'll leave now" As I was about to leave he grabbed me by my wrist causing me to stop walking.

"No, you don't have to leave. I'm fine with you being here, really"

"No, it's okay. I'll leave now, Rachel is probably here anyways. Sorry again"

He nodded and let go of my hands, I smiled at him and started walking. I am a few feet away from him when he called me again.

"Xyrene!" I turned towards him and waited for him to continue

"Goodluck" and with that he walked away.

End of flashback

It's really not that weird but I don't know why but it's weird for me. Aidan does not really talk much and when he does talk it's only with his friends or when he is pissing off the professors. No one ever dared talk to him and he does not talk to any one either. That's why it's really weird that he is talking to me or talked to me, twice.

Just then the sound of the whistle was heard, starting the championship games.

After the game

The game just finished and we won. Me and my team mates are talking about having a celebration party on Sunday at one of their house. All of us agreed on it even though I know I have to beg my parents in order for me to come.
