9 - I trust you

Hello everyone! I decided to post an update before my hell week starts. Since I also need to lay back for a second and relax before studying, so I decided to post this! I hope you all enjoy, and love you all! ♡

I've been staying at Aidan's house for almost a week now, and I will say that this is the hardest week I have ever experienced. Almost a week without my family, and almost a week of people at my school asking me about what happened and why I'm staying at the gangs house.

You are probably wondering, why I don't act scared or why do I act as if Aidan and his friends are not in a gang. Well, to be honest at first I was really scared of them but behind their front of being strong and mighty men, they are really kind and fun to be with.

Rachel and I do hangout with them sometimes, if they are present in school. We would eat lunch at the same table, since the boys won't let me go anywhere without them, or without their eyes on me. I am not complaining since I know the real reason why they do that, and I kinda want them to do that because I don't want to be taken as well.

As I said, we do sometimes hangout, and today is one of that day. We are the cafeteria eating lunch, with the gang and rachel.

"Hey Abi, when are we going out together? Just the two of us?" Rachel asked me this so many times but I can't really answer that since I really don't know when.

"Uhm, I don't know Rach, going out is the least of my concerns right now. Don't take that as a bad thing tho, I just can't go knowing that my family are nowhere to be found"

"I totally understand Abi. Just know that if you need anything, call me okay?"

I just gave her a nod, and we continue to talk with the others. At the corner of my eye I can see Aidan looking at me, without thinking I turned to look at him. When he noticed that I was looking he immediately turned away and I just chuckled at this little act.

It is now the end of our last period, and I was just walking towards the door when my phone vibrated in my pocket. I did not mind this at first but when it vibrated again after a minute, I decided to look thinking that maybe this is an important matter.

And when I did, I wish I didn't instead.

He is doing a great job guarding you sweety. Props to him and his friends. But I won't push through just yet.

Just reading the first text sent shivers down my spine. But the second one, made me shake with fear.

I'm going to let you have fun for now, while it lasts princess. See you very soon.

I really don't know what to do at the moment, I just stared at my phone, shaking and when I felt someone touched my shoulders, I just screamed and jumped away to whoever it is.

"Hey calm down, it's just me. Why are you so jumpy?" When I turned to see who it is, I released a sigh of relief when I saw that it was just Aidan.

"Don't do that, you scared me!" I told him and he looked at me as if he was trying to find some information thru my eyes

"What is happening Xy?"

"Nothing, you just really scared me" I looked away immediately knowing that he will notice that I was lying

"For the past days that you stayed at our house, I already know when you are telling the truth or not. And I can see that you are not telling me the truth. What is it Xy?"

I looked at him and thought to myself if I tell him the truth he would for sure hire someone as my body guard for, but if I don't he would not be able to know what is happening and he can't really look out for me.

"Don't even think about hiding it from me Xy." He gave me that look that speaks authority.

Instead of telling him verbally what is happening, I gave him my phone and let him read the texts.

Once he saw the texts I can immediately sense the change of his aura. He gave my phone back and reached for my hand and started to drag me out of the campus.

"Hey Aidan, what are you doing?"

"We are going home. Now."

I did not protest with that and just followed him.

When we arrived at the house, I went straight to my room and thought about the texts once again.

Whoever is texting me can see me, he/she is just around somewhere and he/she can follow me around. That thought made me realize how dangerous it is for me to be alone.

With fear of being followed around, I decided to send Aidan a text even though he's just next door.

Hey Aidan, you told me I am safe as long as I am here with you right? They can't do any harm right?
To: Aidan

I set my phone back down waiting for his reply. And when he did, it made me feel safe.

You are safe as long as you are with my Xyrene, I won't let them get to you. I promise.
From: Aidan

These simple words calmed me down. I am counting on that Aidan. I trust you.

Hey guys! I know it's been too long, but hey better late than never right? I'm sorry I did not have a chance to update more. This is a very boring chapter but. I will make sure to make the next one better!
