... Try and understand
Reasons are implicit Now
As I die an unsung man
I thought it was me I was looking for
... But with my life,
I was just unsure
She wanted in,
I locked the door
A painful feeling DOWN inside
... Was ripping at my heart,
... Trying to survive
You surrendered to me your heart
... And all of it's affections
But the heart Cannot survive
... When love escapes attention
... Let it die
Now I fight for tomorrows
... But tomorrow never comes
It's always today
... It's always too late
And the struggles are evident
... For the price I've had to pay
... Every hour of every day
Wounded deep in battle
... I never chose to fight
Scars tell their stories
... Would I ever see the light
I'm longing for the answers
... To questions I never knew
I'm trying to catch the dream
... I'm trying to get you
