Remind me Who I Am- Jason Grey
I stare up at the sky not really knowing what to do. Wesley told me to wait outside. He didn't tell me what to do or how long he would take, all he said was, wait outside. It's been like thirty thousand years and he hasn't come out side so yes, I decided to lay down and stare at the sky. It kind of reminded me of what he told me about the place he goes to to think. The clearing where he can see the sky. I would so wish to go there one day.
I spot a cloud that kind of looked like a motorcycle. Or maybe I just missed mine too much. Every time I heard an engine, my heart cries out for my bike, every time I see a bike it's like my soul leaves and then I remember it's gone. It's gone and I'll never see it again. Dave's not reachable, it's like he's gone off the grid and I'm about to drive up to Wisconsin and show him what's it's like to ignore Selene Blaze. Let me tell you it is not good. Not good at all.
I've been keeping it under control for so long because, well, I hate to say it but Wesley and Callie have been good distractions. So has the pain I feel when I move too quickly or suddenly. They've all been helping forget, and pretend like I'm moving on, but it doesn't ever last long. No distraction could last long enough to make me forget. I race to forget. I dance to forget. Those are two things I can't even do now because the man who wants to kill me hit me with a car.
And let's not forget Jaxon. He stabbed me with that twisty knife thingy that kills people in minutes. Did he really expect me to last till the end of the race? Is Jaxon really so stupid? Well, Gina's talking to him, so he can't be that bad right? Has he even asked about me? Has he even told Gina? 'Oh, by the way, I stabbed your best friend and left her to die but it's okay because I was going to call the police I just never got the chance to'. I roll my eyes and sit up looking around. What the hell is Wesley doing?
I shake my head grumbling under my breath before I glare forward. That's when I spot him. The man I never wanted to see again. No, the man I never wanted to face again. It was Alex. He was in a suit with his hair combed back making him look hot, as his eyes pop out and roam around. Great. And I'm sitting down so if I make a sudden movement he'll see me and if I stay here, he'll see me. It's a win win for him either way. For me it's a lose lose. I shake my head and pull out my phone putting it to my ear as I stand up.
"No, Liam, I'm not home yet." I speak keeping my back to him. "Because I'm waiting on a friend and they apparently take forever in doing whatever they're doing." I say hoping he's passed me already but I was too scared to turn around and look. "I don't have my motorcycle." I say slowly but clearly. "If you ever paid attention to anything I ever said, you'd know that." Boys can be difficult. It wouldn't be a real conversation if I didn't argue at least once.
"Liam I- I can't talk to you right now. You're making me mad." I say shaking my head and looking down as I kick a rock.
"Hey, Selene, right?" A voice asks making me freeze. I glance behind me seeing Alex. Doesn't he know it's impolite to interrupt someone when they're on the phone?
"On second thought, how did you feel about the game last night?" I ask slowing walking away but he walks with me.
"There was no game last night." Alex says and I roll my eyes.
"There's always a game on." I mutter before turning my back to him again. "Shut up, Liam." I mutter shaking my head. God where the hell was Wesley? What the hell could he possibly do that would take this long? "Why do you always argue with me?" I growl walking further away but Alex kept his pace with me still. Why won't he leave me alone?
"We need to talk, Selene." Alex says but I shake my head, turning around, and walking the other way. He just begins walking backwards stilling keeping up with my pace. Can't he get a message?
