Like I'm gonna lose you- Meghan Trainor
"It's time for an intervention." Liam says as my father sits with his hands folded together on the table. This is what was so important? A family intervention? Where's mom? Oh, wait. She's dead. Almost forgot about that haha. I stand up with out saying a thing and turn around to walk away to find Dave, Callie, Wesley, Alex and even Gina standing there blocking my way. Well. This sucks but that still doesn't mean I can't fight my way through.
So, who should I punch first. I eye each one of them studying their positions and their sorry expressions. Well, I can't punch Gina or Callie because I actually kind of like them so that's not happening. It's either Dave. Wesley, or Liam or my father. Nah, not my father. I can't punch him. That's just wrong. I cross my arms and look between Dave and Wesley, Wesley with his arms crossed and Dave with his hands on his hips. Alex just standing there.
"What are you doing?" Dave asks.
"Deciding on who to punch first." I say as if it was obvious before Wesley and Dave send each other a look. I take a deep breath and cross my arms still studying them. Well, Dave has a history he's never told me. He did something to Ryder and I've never asked him about it, but I feel like I should know now for this important decision. "Dave, my friend, my buddy." I smile slightly punching his shoulder and he sends me a worried look.
"I hear you had a run in with Ryder before." I say as he pales. He shoots Alex a look but Alex just shrugs.
"We're not here to talk about me." Dave says looking back to me.
"And we will get back to me in a second, but this is just a story I want to hear. It's for a very important decision I have to make." I turn my chair around and sit down watching him. "You may speak... Any day now."
"Yeah." Alex says. "This doesn't seem like any of my business, so I'm just gonna leave." Alex says giving me a nod before he begins to leave.
"You're her protector. You need to be here." Liam says as I look over my shoulder at him. I look at Alex as he sends Liam a look.
"I doubt anything is going to happen. You're not going to hurt your own sister, are you?" He asks and I look back to Liam as he shakes his head.
"No." He says. "But he might." He nods behind the group of people in front of me as I look again and they separate revealing Jaxon. I roll my eyes and Alex groans.
"You guys are all insane." Alex sighs before sitting in a booth by us and shaking his head. Good. Now he knows how I feel right now. I'm forced to be here to. Maybe we could do something. Like help each other out or something.
"And that's why they also called me." A voice says and I freeze. No. No, it can't be. Alex's head snaps to the left as I force myself to continue staring at him. He should be in the hospital. I thought they said he was dying. "Come on Sel. You could at least look at me." He says weakly and I slowly turn my head to look at him. Dallas was standing apart from everyone and when I look at him he gave me an encouraging smile.
I couldn't hold back the smile that spread across my face and the happiness that exploded in my stomach. "Hey." I say happily and stand up walking toward him. "You're not dead!" He chuckles and looks down trying to hide the pain in his face.
"I've got a lot of things I need to do before I die." He looks up with his face serious. "I've got to find Rex before I let Death take me away." Suddenly an idea popped into my head as my smile faded away also. That could work, we would just have to get everything right. It would help everyone. It would help me and Dallas. This could be the answer to everything.
