Dance On- Jamie Grace
"You're not dancing." Gina hisses and I freeze before turning and looking at her. Did she just- did she just say what I think she just said? I tilt my head.
"Pardon me, I think I just miss heard you. Did you say I'm not dancing?" I ask, shock and confusion laced in my voice. She can't tell me I'm not dancing.
"Yes." She says. "I did. Because you are not dancing on this stage today."
"What makes you think you can boss me around?" I ask putting my hands on my hips as she sighs.
"Maybe because I'm basically your doctor and you were basically burnt alive." Gina hisses again. I glare at her as she glares back and I sigh giving up.
"Then what am I supposed to do if I can't dance? What's the point of being here?" Gina pats my shoulder as the music starts for them to go on the stage.
"Cheer me on." She suggests before leaving me behind. Before everyone leaves me behind. I groan going over to my bag and taking my wig off and putting it in it. I walk out the back door and push my way through the crowd before getting to bar counter.
"She thinks she can just bench me and then cheer me on." I mutter getting the bartender's attention. "I should have told her to break a leg." I roll my eyes as the bartender comes to me and leans forward.
"I'm not supposed to allow you to drink Selene." Jack says.
"Gina benched me." I spit out and he hesitates, staring at me.
"What will it be?" He asks standing up straight.
"Well, I've always wanted to have a tequila shot." I shrug as he nods.
"Tequila shot. Coming up." He grabs a shot glass and the bottle of tequila pouring it in and sliding it over to me. I drink it all in one and slam it down sliding it back to him as he gives me a look.
"Just two more and I'll leave." I say raising my arms and he sighs. He looks around before he pulls out another shot glass out and pours tequila in both glasses.
"This is it." He says sliding them both over to me. "This is all you get. I don't want to get in trouble."
"Whatever, I know you serve minors all the time. I'm not the first." I mutter taking down both tequila shots quickly.
"In that case." He sighs looking around. "I'll take some with you." He pulls out two more shot glasses and fills up all four sliding two to me and two to him. He raises one glass and clicks it against mine. "Cheers."
"Cheers." I smile before we both take it down and to quickly grab the next and take it down also.
"You'd be good in a tequila shot race." He says taking his last one.
"Sounds fun." I shrug. "One more?" I ask with a sly smile and he nods.
"One more." He pours me one more and slide it to me as I take it and swallow it whole feeling the burn in my throat. I shake my head as I spin around in the chair and come face to face with a man.
"Alex?" I ask narrowing my eyes, as he suddenly narrows his. Right, I met him as Sel not Selene. Stupid me.
"How do you know my-"
"You met Sel." I say. "She told me to keep an eye out for you and tell you she's sorry for what happened here." Alex nods and looks around.
