"Since Hayami is off sick today, Chiba and Isogai will pair up for shooting. I do need to see how Maehara will do on his own." Karasuma said.
"Let's do our best." Isogai brightly smiled at Chiba, who responded with a nod and a slight smile.
It was off to aa good start, Isogai managed to hit Okajima as Chiba had asked him to. However, during the second round, Isogai ended up falling behind and apologised constantly.
"It's fine." Chiba constantly responded.
But everyone knows that that phrase meant that it was not fine.
And from time to time, it was better to have someone with better mobility staying on the frontline whilst another with a shotgun behind. But Hayami was sick today, as Karasume had said, and Isogai was her absence.
For the final fifth round, Isogai had dinally managed to hit every target. It wasn't that Isogai was difficult to work with, the poor boy was casual and easy going. So to communicate with him and share ideas was easy, but not much help when they're constantly looking for targets.
Whereas, Chiba and Hayami knew what the other was thinking. With a simple glanxe and a simple smile or nod.
The next day, Hayami came back. It was much better with Hayami.
Everyone just accepted the fact that Chiba and Hayami were mutual partners, and maybe, that no one should get in their way.
