Chapter 11 Agreed

Having galloped far enough, the group halted their pace into a smoother and slower rhythm, being sharp of their surroundings. But it was as if the forest had no end and darkened each step of the way.

"Ugh we've been at it for over an hour already, how much further!?"

"This is probably one of the longest forests their is in the world Captain Saber."

Saber sweat dropped at the thought of it. "How long are we talking about here exactly?.."

"That I don't know Captain...I hear it's plenty of acres long though."

Saber went completely pale groaning.

"Please stop complaining..." The others thought in unison.

"I guess we can rest for a little while, it is getting awfully dark anyways. We seem really far in distance too... Um don't you think Ursula?.." Joshua asked timidly.

"I guess you are right." And came to a complete stop.

Everyone got off their horses and stretched for a moment.

"Dear God NILES, DON'T DO THAT!"

"HEY AT LEAST WE GOT DINNER NOW STOP COMING AT ME WILL YOU!!" Niles yelled at the group as he grabbed the deadass duck.

Joshua sighed holding his forehead and ordered the men to go scout for food as he helped put up a fire.

Soon enough everyone was feasting on duck and huddled around the small fire pits they did with lively chatter.

"So...." Lloyd breaks the silence among the leaders of the group, "How are we exactly going to go through this in a civilized manner?"

"My thoughts exactly, you think I'm going to let this sauce thing go without punishment?"

Can you stop it with the sauce already, and Ugh you stink.

"Lloyd, we are stuck together like glue at the moment can we maybe talk about this when we're out our separate ways?"

Ursula stomps over and pulls up Joshua to eye level, "Over my dead body! Once we're out and about you'll be slaughtered AND-"

"HEY SHUT THE HELL UP IM TRYING TO SLEEP HERE!" Nino yelled as it broke up the quarreling.

"Tch, reckless as always Ursula."

"Quiet Sonya, I'm after you once I'm done with these fools."

"How about a game guys and gals?"

"Niles, please not now-"

"Hush Josh, I got the perfect plan. Alright listen guys this is how the game is going to go. If we make it out together we'll chain our boats together out to the sea and once we're far out, we'll have our battle to the death."

"What? Are you out of your mind Niles?!"

"And how would I know you're not going to ditch and-" They all gasped at the sight of Niles' bloody hand being pierced by one of his arrows.

"Idiot, you poison those yourself!" Joshua yelled as he scattered through his belonging for healing potions.

Niles lets out a chuckles, "Well now you know I mean business, I'm just trying to prove a point here."

"I accept your terms," Ursula sternly states.

"S-Seriously Cap-" Lloyd is hushed soon after by Sonya, "I think it is best, either way I'll defeat you all."

"Well that settles it then, now will you stop being a wreck you fool," Joshua damps a cloth, cleaning Niles' wound.

"Oh, please~"

"You're sick!"

Gay, get a room. The others thought in unison.

Before they went to sleep, they all agreed to wake up first thing in the morning to be ahead of the Askar Royals and play along Niles' twisted game. The sailors packed their things and with a sizzle, put out the fires. The sounds of the forest hummed everyone to sleep as darkness devoured their bodies.
