He also didn't mean to meet a stranger who turned out to mean the world to him.
She was just a strang...

Yoongi paced along the wall of the coffee shop that he always met Jaehwa at. He knew she was there already at their usual table; he saw her sitting there reading a book through the window. He peeked through the window and he could feel a small smile stretch on his lips as he just watched her read. Her hair was down today, and it fell over her shoulder and over her face, she was wearing a creame sweater but with pink pants and of course her pink converse. He thought she was beautiful.
But he couldn't go in there. He's been outside the coffee shop for twenty minutes and he can't go in there. He was being a coward...over some girl. Okay it wasn't some girl, it was Jaehwa... but he didn't know how he was supposed to act around her anymore. How do you act around the girl you like? Was he supposed to be subtle? Be cute and flirtatious? Did he act cool and nonchalant around her? He didn't know!
Sure, they finally got to talking again...well kind of. The two of them didn't talk much over the weekend. He last talked ot her on Saturday when he called...that was it. He knew she was with her brother and he wanted her to spend time with her family, no matter how much he just wanted to talk to her, hear her voice, but she was with her brother. He sighed as he ran his fingers through his hair. He needed to stop being a pansy and go in there like a man and talk to her.
Okay again, talking to her wasn't the problem. It was being physically around her that had Yoongi freaking out mentally. He took a deep breath and took a step towards the door, and another, and another and soon he was opening it up. He stopped in his tracks when Jaehwa looked up and over at him. Her face widened with a grin and her eyes shined, he could feel himself smile.
"Hey stranger!" She greeted him.
"Hey." He smiled at her as he took a seat next to her. Oh maybe that was a bit to forward? He thought as he went to change seats but Jaehwa turned to him and he stopped, frozen.
"You're here really early. I didn't expect you to be here until another twenty minutes..."
"Yeah, well... I promised you the whole day didn't I?" He replied with a shrug. Okay, so far so good... He thought.
"Yeah...can you even do that?" She asked, not really convinced he took the whole day.
"Yeah. Kinda... we decided to take yesterday and do everything for today so we could have today off instead." Yoongi replied with a shrug. "I told you, I would make it up to you today, Jaehwa and I will fulfill that promise to you." Yoongi replied, looking into her eyes. He saw her cheeks turn a faint color of pink and his heart started beating hard in his chest. Damn it.
"Oh...okay...If...if you're sure..."
"Jaehwa." Yoongi said her name seriously, grabbing her hand and giving it a gentle squeeze. "I've never been more sure." He assured her and she looked at him, red faced.
"Okay." She replied quietly as she smiled shyly and gave his hand a squeeze.
"Good, now lets go." He stood up and Jaehwa looked at him confused.
"What?"
"We're going to the shopping district." He replied, pulling onto her hand to get o her to stand up.
"Why?"
"Because we're going to go buy movies, and we're going to the grocery store to get food."
"Okay but why Yoongi?" She asked as she stuffed her book into her bag and followed him out of the cafe.
"We're having a movie day, and we're going to make food at your place." He told her, looking over at her with a smile.
"Yoongi..." Jaehwa sighed as they walked the streets. "We don't have to do anything today-"
"I said I was making it up for you."
"Yoongi we don't have-"
"Jaehwa. Please." He stopped walking and turned around to look at her. "I want to do this with you... I've been an idol all week... let me be a normal twenty five year old who is out with a girl for once." He asked her and she looked at him and nodded. Her cheeks turning pink. "Thank you..." He said quietly and she nodded her head again. They stayed like that for a moment, just looking at each other and Yoongi couldn't help but smile.
It was awkward at first, but it only took a few minutes with Jaehwa to feel normal. Yeah, his heart was beating fast, he was being cautious with how he acted, to not make her uncomfortable. But he just looked at her and knew he didn't need to feel this way. He was still probably going to feel a little awkward being around her, but when he first talked to her that morning, being with her, holding her hand...he let his worries fade away.
