Monday 7:17 a.m.
Jaehwa rushed into the coffee shop, letting her things fall onto the table she usually sat at. Her palms resting against it as she put all her weight on them; panting she was trying to catch her breath. She slept in. She. Slept. In! She doesn't remember the last time she slept in. She needed coffee... stat.
"Here." She looked up and there he was. Her knight in shining armour. Min Yoongi, with a large iced coffee.
"You remembered extra whip..." She mumbled softly as she took the drink from him.
"Yeah." He replied with a shrug. "I noticed you weren't here so I went ahead and ordered you your coffee..."
"What if I didn't show up?"
"Then I guess I was going to have a sugar high today." He replied and Jaehwa started laughing while sitting down in her chair. "What's funny?"
"Sugar high...don't you mean Suga High?" She laughed and Yoongi gave her a blank look. "Awe, what's that look for? You're so bitter, maybe you should add some Suga cubes to your coffee!" She wheezed, clutching her side and Yoongi just continued to give her a dead stare. She calmed down and sat up straight in the chair, looking at him. He didn't even blink, he just kept giving her this blank, dead look. She reached over and poked his cheek. "Why such a sad Suga Cube?"
"God damn it." He cursed as he looked away. Jaehwa smiled, and it grew when she saw a small hint of a smile tug on his lips. "You're so unoriginal, you know this right?"
"Oh yeah I know." She shrugged. "But it's cute, no?" She asked with a grin on her face and he grunted.
"You wish."
"Oh come on, Yoongi! You like it when I call you a Suga cube!" She squealed as she poked his cheek and he slapped her hand away.
"Stop that." He glared at her but she simply laughed his words off before taking a drink of her coffee. It was quiet between them for a few minutes, Jaehwa was enjoying her coffee. She was going to be needing a second one here soon. The girl stood up and went to her wallet to grab her card. She needed her second cup of coffee. "Where are you going?" Yoongi asked her.
"To get a second cup of coffee." She answered him. Five or so minutes later she sat back down beside him and pulled out her notebook.
"Hey, Jaehwa..." Yoongi started.
"Yeah Suga Cube." She replied, and she heard him grunt at her nickname.
"Why were you late this morning?" Jaehwa stopped what she was doing for a moment, surprised at his question.
"I uh...I overslept." She answered him. It was the truth. She did oversleep.
"What?" He asked, clearly surprised. "You, you overslept? Do you even know how to sleep in?" He scoffed.
"Yeah, I do." She replied shortly, glaring at him. He stilled as he stared at her. "Just because I like mornings, and I get up at five a.m. every morning does not mean I don't know what sleep is like Min Yoongi!" Jaehwa huffed as she put her notebook back in her bag.
"Hey, what are you doing?" He asked carefully, watching her.
"I'm packing up my things."
"I can see that why-"
"To get away from you!" She snapped as she stood up from her seat and grabbed her coffee. "See you tomorrow, hopefully you won't be an idiot and will learn how to talk to a girl!" She glared at him and rushed out of the cafe.
Stopping at the corner of the street, she leaned against the building and clenched her eyes shut - trying to stop the tears from falling. She felt terrible for snapping at him for no reason. There was nothing to justify her acting that way to him, and she regretted it. But she was tired. Tired of everything...she was becoming exhausted.
