Robin's POV
Robin was working on the locks when the alarm rang out. "Dang It!" He whispered as the lock popped open. He ran to the shivering boy. He was covered in scratches and scars. The worst one, however, was a scar in the shape of a 'y' running across his chest. "Oh, Danny. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." He picked Danny up bridal style and ran. He ran out the door and ran to the forest. He ran onto the ship and placed Danny on the table. The boy barely stirred. Robin growled. He wanted nothing more than to punch the lunatics who did this to his baby brother. He curled his hands into a fist. He was mad. No, furious. He saw the building collapse, and the team rush out. He turned back to his baby brother. He felt the tears pricking at his eyes. No, he refused to cry. The team ran on and went to the front. All but Kid.
No one's pov
Kid saw Robin, and he could feel the anger. Heck, Robin was shaking because of his anger. Kid stepped into the front and watched Miss Martian close the walls, leaving Robin with Danny. "Do you think Robin is alright? I felt his anger, he's not ok." M'gann said as the ship lifted off. "I felt the anger, and I'm no telepath." Wally added. "This must be personal if Robin is that mad. Have you seen him this mad before?" Aqualad asked. "Only when Batman is hurt. Like, yeah, he's mad when we get hurt, but he shows it when Batman gets hurt. That is the only time and even then, he's nowhere near as mad as he is now." Kid answered. "I-I could try to read his mind." M'gann offered. "While that would answer our questions, it would only anger Robin more. We need to let him tell us himself. It would be better for all of us." The team sat in silence until they reached the cave. M'gann opened the ship doors, then the walls. By the time the team had stepped off the ship, Robin had disappeared. "Well, so much for 'telling us himself.'" Superboy mumbled. "He's probably in the medbay. If the boy was as bad as he looked, then that's where he was going to end up." Black Canary walked in. "Team, we need to talk. About Robin." "What about him?" "We ran some tests on the kid, and we think he might have known Robin in the past. That's why Robin was angry. Just give him some time. He'll tell us what happened when he's ready." Black Canary walked away.
Robin's POV
Robin waited for Danny to wake up. He knew the team wanted answers, so he disappeared, avoiding the team. He sighed and put his head in his hands. He wanted to punish the people who did this. He looked up. Danny's face was too pale. He was too light. His eyes had bags under them. Robin probably looked the same. But weight, he was good on. His eyes flicked to the monitors when he heard the beeping speed up. He heard a groan, and saw Danny open his eyes. He stood up. "Danny?" "Who are you?" He saw the fear start to grow. "Woah, hold on, Danny. I'm not gonna hurt you. Why would I?" "Who are you?" Danny repeated the question. "I'm Robin. We attacked the GIW base, shutting it down. I got you out of the cells, and we brought you back to our base. We're in happy harbor, Rhode Island. We just want to help." Robin replied. Danny seemed to calm down. "Oh. I wanted to know. You're a hero, right?" "Yeah." "I'm looking for my brother. I don't know his real name, I just know his nickname." "Can you tell me?" "My mother used to call me her 'flying monkey.' My brother, she called-" "her Robin?" "Actually, Yes. I thought you might know him because of your name." Robin started laughing. Danny blushed. "Sorry for laughing. It's just, that was my nickname. You said you have a brother. Did you get adopted, or what?" Danny bit his lip. "Yeah, Actually. My parents died due to a trapeze accident." "What were their names?" "Mary and John Grayson." Robin smiled. "Well, I think I know where your brother is." "Really? Where?" "Right in front of you." Robin replied as he took off his mask.
