"GOOD MORNING VIETNAM!!!!" Sam woke with a jolt, his hand aiming the non-existing gun at Lucifer. "There's breakfast downstairs, hurry up." Lucifer vanished and Sam groggily sat up in bed. He stepped out of the room and soon realized that he didn't know where he was going. Luckily, he ran into an old acquaintance.
"Moose! Fancy seeing you here."
"Crowley!" Sam took two long strides to stand in front of him. "You've gotta help me man. Get me out of here."
"No can do moose," Crowley began walking and Sam followed, taking small steps to stay with his pace. "I just got back on his majesty's good side, and I'm not going to risk losing that, even to help you." Sam just stared as Crowley kept walking.
"By the way, Squirrel sends his regards." Then he rounded the corner and was gone. Sam wandered around until he found a staircase that led to the dining hall.
Lucifer was sitting in one of the chairs with a plate of food set for the seat next to him. He turned when he saw Sam come in and grinned at him. Sam grabbed his plate and moved to sit on the other side of the table. Lucifer frowned but didn't say anything. After a few minutes of silence, Sam spoke up.
"Has my brother tried to contact you?"
"Yes, I haven't gotten around to seeing him yet though"
"Don't"
This threw Lucifer off a little.
"What?"
"Don't make any deals with him. I made my choice and he's going to have to live with it."
Lucifer nodded and continued eating.
"What did you mean by 'he can see my wings.'" Lucifer our down his fork and stared directly at Sam. Sam shifted a little in his seat but kept his eyes locked on Lucifer.
"Archangels have very special wings. Not only are there 3 sets, but they can only be seen by other angels and certain individuals. You happen to be one of those individuals."
"Is it because I'm your true vessel."
"Close, but most vessels can't see their angels wings."
"Then what makes me so special?"
"Our bond is a little more profound than just you being my vessel."
"In what way" Lucifer waited a moment before answering.
"We're soulmates."
