The dinner was great. We laughed, walked around, and Marinette was able to speak to me without stuttering! I still don't know why she does that though. Do I intimidate her? Speaking of Marinette, she looked beautiful. If I wasn't so in love with  Ladybug, I might have a crush on her!

"Well, you guys, I'm heading home. See ya at school!" Nino says as he waves goodbye.

"Me too. See ya!" Alya declares.

"Ok bye Al! Happy birthday!" Marinette cheers.

"Well," I say, "I guess we should head home as well."

"Yeah," Marinette agrees before yawning. "Today was very...eventful."

"Oh, definitely. Hey, you look tired. My limo should be here any second now so do you want me to take you home?" I offer.

"Hm? Oh! No thank you. I can home it make. I-I MEAN! Make it home. Yeah. I can make it home."

"Are you sure?"

"Defsolutely!"

"What?"

"Absoinitly! I-Ab-Def-ugh. What i'm trying to say is yes, I am sure that I can make it home alright."

Was she trying to say definitaly or absolutely? Wow. She really must be tired if she is combining her words. Marinette may stutter a lot but she never combines her words together. That was something I noticed about her.

"I'm worried about you, Mari. It's a long walk to your house and you seem exhausted."

Suddenly, she turned into a blushing mess. "I'm f-fine! Don't...don't worry about me! I am perfectly awake!" She announced rather loudly while waking off.

I knew that she wouldn't give in to me taking her home so I didn't push it. Her stubborness reminds me of m'lady. It's kinda cute.

"...Ok, Marinette if you insist. Good night."

"Night!"

I walk off in the opposite direction calling Gorilla to not bring the limo. Plagg suddenly flies in front of my face. "You're really gonna just let her go like that? You know she's not gonna make it right?"

"I know Plagg. Which is why i'll--or should I say we will be taking her home."

"How? You let her go. She's too far away for you to go back, even if you run. And what do you mean we?  I'm supposed to be a secret remem--" Plagg's eyes grew wide at the relization. "Oh no. No way Agreste."

"Extra cheese for a week."

"4."

"3."

"4."

"2."

"Deal."

I grin. "Plagg, claws out!"

I  leap over rooftops looking for Marinette. I see her stumbling in the wrong direction that the bakery is supposed to be in. Wow. That girl is exhausted. Plagg was right, she would not make it home at this rate. I hop down in front of her. "Hello, purrincess."

She stifles a yawn, "Hey kitty. What do you want?"

"To take you home."

"What? Why? There's no need to. I'm almost home. Two minutes away, in fact."

I sigh. "No, princess, you're not. You're going the wrong way actually."

"Really?"

"Yes."

"Oh."

"You're obviously exhausted. I'm taking you home. "

"Ugh. Fine." she mutters drawing out the 'e'.

I swoop her up bridal style and start running across rooftops. I look down to see how she's doing and I notice that she's already asleep, burying herself deeper into my chest. I smile and feel a faint blush coming on.

Two minutes later, we are at her balcony. "Hey. Princess. Wake up." I murmur.

"FIve more minutes, Tikki."

Tikki? In the back of my mind, I sense Plagg perk up. Maybe he knows who Tikki is. I'll ask him later.

Somehow, I manage to open the trapdoor without letting Marinette go. I carefully climb down the ladder and tuck her in. Just as i'm about to leap out, I feel a hand grab my wrist and pull me down into a hug.

"Thank you Chaton." Marinette whispers.

"Anytime, Princess." I whisper back before jumping out the trapdoor and into the night.
