As I walk outside, I hear a familiar voice to my left.
"Hey, Marinette!"
Adrien.
"H-hi!" I stutter.
"You excited for Alya's party?" he asks.
"Uh...yeah! Sooo excited! Haha!" Inside my purse, I feel Tikki lightly punch me.
"Great!" he laughs. "What'd you get her?"
"Uh, I got her a portable charger, a phone case, and a popsocket! All Ladybug themed of course." I add with a smile."What about you?"
"Oh just a necklace shaped like a fox's tail." he says handing me the box with her gift inside. "Her personality always reminded me of a fox so I thought it would be fitting y'know?"
"Oh Adrien, it's beautiful! She'll love it.
"You think so?"
"I know so." I watch as his face lights up.
"Thanks Mari!" he exclaims.
Mari.
No one's ever called me that name before. Not even my parents. So to say that I was shocked to hear that nickname was an understatement.
"O-oh! Uh...um...ah...y-yo-you're welcome!" I stammer.
"Well, what are we waiting for?" he says. "Lets go to a birthday party!" Adrien starts walking off with me following me close behind.
