Marinette's POV:

Swimming with legs is amazing. And so easy! I guess it's because I have "special experience". Surprisingly, I don't need Papa's goggles. I can see just fine underwater and my eyes don't even hurt. Soon enough, I'm the only one left in the water.

"Marinette! Don't you want to come out now?" Alya shouts from her beach towel with a bemused look on her face.

"Nope!" I shout back as I take another dive.

"C'mon, girl! It's late. We've been here for almost an hour!"

"An- an hour?" Already I feel my legs being tugged together by some invisible force.

"Yes, an hour!"

"An hour?!"

"Girl. Am I speaking another language? Oui. Si. Yes. An hour.

"COMING!" As quickly as I can, I swim towards the shore. Thankfully, I make it. As I shakily stand up, I notice a pink tinge on my legs slowly begin to fade away.

"You sure got out of the water pretty fast. What happened?" Adrien asks with an eyebrow raised.

"Uh... Just...Some old Chinese Myth that Maman told me! If you stay in the ocean for an hour, you'll turn into a shell and sink to the bottom of the ocean, never to be seen again. Haha..." (A/N This isn't a true myth. I just made it up for the sake of the story.)

"Dude, that's pretty creepy." Nino comments.

"Sure, if you're five." Alya retorts with a smirk.

"Hey!"

"What? It's true!"

I giggle. "My mom told me that myth when I was really little. It always creeped me out, even now."

Alya's smirk grows wider. "See? Only if you're five."

I notice Nino's ears turn a dark shade of red. "Ok!" I start, "Let's head back? I don't know about you, but I'm starving."

Adrien nods his head. "Yeah, me too."

Alya starts packing up. "I can eat a little something."

Nino's already five feet ahead of us. "Catch up dudes!"

We all laugh and make our way back to the hotel.

Adrien's POV:

Strange. Sabine said that the pills only lasted for one hour and Marinette freaked out when she heard that she was in the ocean for one hour. To add on to that, Mari's an amazing swimmer. She never swims! How did she learn to swim like a pro? She's expressed her discomfort around water numerous times. What made her want to swim anyway? Why now? What is she hiding? Marinette catches me staring and she blushes. "A-Adrien? What's wrong?"

Now it's my turn to blush. "N-nothing, Mari! Sorry, I just zoned out for a bit."

"Ok..." She turns her attention to Alya who is smirking at her. She always does that after  I talk to Marinette. Why? Does she not like the idea of Mari and I being friends? I'll have to ask her that one day.

"Finally!" Nino exclaims, "We're back! Time to eat!"

"Not so fast, Nino," Marinette giggles, "we still have to freshen up." She looks at all of us. We'll meet back in the lobby at six?" We all nod. "Ok! See you two in an hour."

Boom! Crash!

The screams of terrified Parisians are heard everywhere. "Mlle? Mlle!" I stop a horrified woman. "What's going on?"

"It's an Akuma!"

I know, I know. It's not the best. (like any of my works are even decent) But I wanted to get something out.
