Chapter 9

Peter's eyes widened when he saw the large picture that covered majority of the page. It was a large, black and white picture of him, as spiderman, holding a figure in his arms, against his body. The figure wore a large red and black cloak, hiding their identity, though it was obvious the figure was female. The title read "DOES SPIDERMAN HAVE A SPIDER-WOMAN?"

The bell rang, allowing for the boys to stand and leave their study hall.

"So is it true?!" Ned asked excitedly.

"Is what true?" MJ asked as she and Y/n approached the boys. Peter glanced at his secret girlfriend worriedly, before he replaced it with one of amusement so as to hide it from Ned and MJ. Ned turned suddenly and attempted to cover it up as MJ and Y/n (to his knowledge) did not know of Peter's secret identity.

"Ummmmm I was asking if it was true that... Peter... failed a test!"

"Well of course he didn't. There was no way he could get into this school if he was stupid enough to fail a test." MJ retorted causing them all to laugh.

"Ned, what's that your holding?" Y/n asked. Ned suddenly got very excited as he raised the newspaper up to show the two girls the picture of Queens' Superhero holding his lover in his arms. At the sight, Y/n's turned beet red from embarrassment.

"You okay, Y/n?" Ned asked, catching her off guard.

"I'm fine!" She squeaked as she rushed to the girls bathroom. MJ turned and watched as her friend ran away, before she looked back at the two boys in confusion. She excused herself to go look for Y/n.

I walked with MJ towards Peter and Ned, the latter seeming very excited and passionate about whatever he was talking about. "Looks like we found our nerds." MJ commented making me laugh.

"So is it true?!" Ned asked excitedly.

"Is what true?" MJ asked as we approached them. Peter glanced at me quickly before he replaced it with a look of amusement. Ned turned suddenly and gave us a nervous look. I looked between the two of them in confusion as Ned started to give some excuse.

"Ummmmm I was asking if it was true that... Peter... failed a test!"

"Well of course he didn't. There was no way he could get into this school if he was stupid enough to fail a test." MJ retorted causing us to laugh and Peter roll his eyes playfully.

"Ned, what's that your holding?" I asked. Ned suddenly got very excited as he raised the newspaper up to show us the newspaper. I leaned in to get a closer look. It was a picture of Peter as Spider-man hugging me in my cloak, both our identities hidden. The title was 'DOES SPIDERMAN HAVE A SPIDER-WOMAN?' I blushed madly when I saw this.

"You okay, Y/n?" Ned asked, catching me off guard.

"I'm fine!" I yelped and ran to the bathroom to hide myself from the embarrassment. I stood in front of a mirror, and hunched over a sink, continuously splashing water on my face to cool myself off. I had managed to push the blush down, but I was still very nervous. I suddenly heard MJ's voice before the door started to open. In a panic, I, without thinking, created a portal and escaped the situation before MJ could see me. Yes, I was overreacting to the situation, but I was nervous that we were going to be figured out.
