Chap7. Bye or not

Elizabeth's P.O.V
Waking up early to the sound of birds chirping I try to stretch my arms but can't because there isn't that much room. I was about to step out of the tree but decided to check if anyone was near, so using my power I look around and feel feet or paws pound against the ground near my direction. Panicking I stay inside the tree

'how did they find me so fast?' I think quietly

'did you hide your scent?' Responds my thoughts.

Man, I knew there was something I was forgetting. Feeling them get closer I make the earth bury my scent from the top ground and lead them far from my tree. Feeling the earth react it does what I wish and leads my trail up north where I'm not going. Sighing in relief I wait until I hear them

"Hey, her trail leads over here" yells a man

"Well then let's follow it" yells a voice and I can hear the desperation.

It's him, my mate, Gabriel, he's looking for me, my breath hitches. As I hear and feel their paws thud away from me I make sure the coast is clear, get out of my tree and keep running west, toward home and freedom. Around noon, I stop by a stream I located and sit down to drink. Finishing I take off my shoes and dip them in the nice cool water, felling relived because from yesterday afternoon and all morning all I've been doing is running.

Good thing I take track and run a lot or else I wouldn't have made it this far without collapsing. Ok then, just a few more hours and I'm out of their territory, maybe once I reach a road I'll hitch a ride to Denver. Walking this time around the forest is peaceful, I feel it all and I feel at ease being surrounded by my elements. Seeing a shadow I panic and turn around only to see that there's no one behind me, so I look up to the sky and see dark clouds gathering above my head.

Drops of rain start to drizzle down my face, smiling to the sky I then realize that I'm starting to get wet. I curse and try looking for a place to shelter myself. Seeing nothing near I locate a mountain that has an empty cave. Running there as fast as I can I enter the mouth of the cave soaking wet since the rain started pouring down harder. Starting to shiver I look around to see if I find twigs or big sticks to start a fire. Finding some I put them in a pile and I light my right hand on fire and try to get the sticks to light up.

Once the fire goes on I turn off my hand and lean against the cave wall, drifting into my thoughts I think

'man how did I get into this crap'

'well it was going to happen, can't prevent the inevitable' my thought voices back.

'Now my only big problem is how I'm gonna get out of these forest without being caught by the big bad wolf' I muse

'use your power to distract them and then run, concealing your scent as well' states my conscious

'yeah but what if I am caught anytime from now to future?'

'Hmm.... Then pretend you don't know they're werewolves, plus you can see them act stupid thinking that we're human' laughs my evil side

'love were your going with this you' I start laughing with myself

'Elizabeth snap out of it, your in a deadly situation and your making evil plans? Really??!!' Snaps my reason

'yeah I know your or I'm right, fine lets go then' I think determined.

Getting up and turning off the warm fire with just one flick of my hand I search the way to a road, finding it almost immediately. Taking myself, torn up jeans and t-shirt I walk out to the still raining sky, this time it's not raining as hard which is a good thing since I'm running in this whether. Racing through the trees and bushes I come across a nice little apple tree, feeling my tummy grumble considering

I haven't eaten all day today and yesterday I pick I nice big red apple and keep walking while eating it. Finishing my apple I stick it in a tree, so they won't find it. Reaching the edge of their territory I walk around carefully, using then bushes to hide. Seeing no one around a crouch run feeling near a road and civilization I keep running starting to feel desperate to go home. When i step on a stick making a loud crack sound that echoes through the forest.

Freezing on the spot I check around looking for any signs of wolves. I know that this is a route they take because of the paw prints. Hearing nothing I keep running until I'm running full speed, not caring that I could be heard, all I have on my mind is freedom and home. Almost out of the forest I feel two strong hands grab my waist and pull me back against a hard chest knocking the air out of me.

When I try to breath in again, there is a rag over my mouth and nose, and before I know it I breathed in the toxin. My eyelids started to drop and despite my fighting I could feel myself losing strength.

"Shhh" soothes a voice that I recognize immediately.

As I finally let myself fall into unconscious ness I think to myself. Crap.
