Betty's Point Of View-
We turned into a trailer park, and walked over to the far side of it. There was a trailer up on the hill, away from the rest. My bags were already packed, my house already up for sale, my new life had begun.
I clenched my teeth, suppose I better embrace it. Wendy knocked on the door, and I looked around the small porch, there were two bikes stood out side and two fold out chairs.
A tall man, with jet black hair and stubbly facial hair answered with a huge smile on his face, but a sad look in his eyes.
"You look exactly like your mother" he grinned and then hugged me tight.
"I'm FP, I'll be looking after you" he said and I smiled up at him shyly. Then my brain switched to my mom.
"He's a good man" her words were and my mothers judgment of character was never wrong.
He spoke to Wendy in the kitchen whilst I sat in the living room on a small couch across the back of the room, staring blankly at the tv screen. He signed some papers, probably the ones that say he is responsible for me now and Wendy gave me a small wave as she walked out the door.
"FP?" I said feeling rude for calling him by his first name when I had only met him five minutes ago.
"Yeah" He said coming to sit in the coffee table in front of me.
"Thankyou for taking me in" I said.
"Anything for Alice coopers daughter, when do you want to go back to school, you'll have to go to south side high, but don't worry my son goes there, at least you'll have a friend" he smiled.
"Um soon I think, how old is your son?" I asked him curious, I never had a brother.
"He's 17, your age, you'll have to share a room with him because this old tin can is like a shoe box, but don't worry there's a mattress on the floor" he laughed.
"Where is he?" I quizzed, now wanting to meet him too. I wonder what we'd speak about and where he would sleep if I ever invited Ronnie or Cheryl over.
"He works at the bar, won't be back till late, would you like something to eat?" He offered.
"Oh no, but I'm really tired would you mind if I took a shower and went to sleep?" I asked him, I just wanted to sleep and never wake up. The only good side to this was that my mom has left me with a kind man.
"Sure I've put your bags in the last room of the hall, showers next door to it" he smiled pointing down the hall and I timidly set to it.
I plugged my phone in to charge leaving it on the bedside table and heading to the shower.
I'm sharing a trailer with two boys. What am I going to do if I get my period over night and leak on the poor boys bed. What am I going to do if I get a boyfriend, FP doesn't look like the type to welcome his new daughter boyfriend into his home, frankly if you seen him and hadn't met him you'd be terrified of him.
My mind was absolutely racing and I breathed a sigh of relief as I felt the hot water rush over me, it was just washing away any stress that I had.
"Betty I'm going to the store, do you need any like things...." I heard FP shout awkwardly.
I cringed knowing exactly what he meant and I wracked my brains to check the date.
"No I'm okay, I'll um sort that stuff out myself, Thankyou though" I shouted closing my eyes, feeling the awkwardness.
I washed my hair with the only shampoo and conditioner I could find and I found this body wash that smelt so familiar but I couldn't figure out where I knew it from. Something else I'd have to stock up on. I walked out of the shower smelling like a man and into my new room.
